Finally finished my report from hell and after a year I feel like I'm starting to settle into this PhD thingy - my proudest moment came last week when a guy from Cambridge uni phoned me for advice. Now I need something else to do with my life...
...and as if by magic, 600 first year students arrive on my doorstep this weekend. I've been trying to find things to keep them occupied and to keep me sane. The powers that be seem to delight in thwarting any plan I come up with due to it being "inappropriate" - even my welcome talk has been censored due to bad language. Looks like Kit and chums are running a night for us during fresher's week.
Shame I don't have more than pizza and beer to offer as payment. 
Anyone want to buy a load of ancient and largely useless computer parts? eBay
