as i get older the years seem to move at the speed of light


we have had new additions to the family


and unfortunately we have lost a few family members for various reasons




we had some inappropriate conversions


i got a new job


i got new ink




but most importantly i got

well it's a typical xmas for us; andain and i have no family within 1500 miles of us so for us xmas is just another day. we'll sit around and watch 15 hrs of a christmas story (my fav holiday movie) and enjoy the day off together.

last night was a sad night b/c we think our dog Stella my be sick. it feels like she has an enlarged lymph node and she has been very cuddly but we are also under stress b/c andain was laid off earlier this month. so it could be stella's way of reacting to our stress. either way i was in tears last night b/c i can't imagine life without stella. and the worse part is she's only 8 months old. looks like a vet visit is in order for next week.

i hope everyone has a great xmas and new year

looks like a busy year ahead....i'm doing as many half marathons as possible and my sister is getting married this summer....lots of traveling in my future

not the best day....my wife (the bread winner in the family) got laid off.........so now we have to deal with this...what a way to start the weekend.

I just keep telling myself;

So i downloaded the essential michael jackson cd from itunes and i actually almost started crying when i started listening to it......weird I know. I grew up listening to MJ (I owned the thriller cd on the original vinyl it came out on). when he passed on I joked about it because it was actually my wedding day; go figure. I have always respected the man for his talent but it wasn't til today that i realized how much i truly loved and grew up with his music. I guess there's a lot we take for granite
