doesn't look like i'm going to make the covenant show. still haven't secured a new project/job yet, and all these stupid bills are starting to pile up. plus, i've been totally procrastinating on looking for work, so i'm kind of on a self-imposed "going-out" moratorium until i get that next job (with the exception of Kasabian this friday which i already had tickets for).

It's Thrift Town on Fair Oaks & Marconi. Everyone complains that Sacramento's thrifts are picked-over, but the truth is all the good stuff is out in the 'burbs. The farther you get from downtown, the better the scores, because the customers tend to be ordinary suburban folks who aren't looking for trendy or kitschy stuff. (Well, I did run into Stan from Th' Losin' Streaks at Thrift Town once.) Other good ones are WEAVE on Fair Oaks and St. Vincent De Paul way out near Sunrise & Greenback. Then there's Nextime on Auburn Blvd., Goodwill on Manzanita, another Goodwill on Fulton...Sacto has a LOT of thrift stores. I'd be lost without 'em.
