last weekend i finally got to watch "wristcutters: a love story." it's a marvelous film and i recommend it.

it's been a terrific week. juliana spahr, a wonderful poet and critic, visited our campus and gave a reading. her work is unusual especially to those who don't read contemporary poetry. but she won over even skeptics. i recommend checking out her writing.

magical film. i finally had chance to see it last week. if you haven't seen it you owe it to yourself to rent it. let me know what you think of it. i loved it.

loyalty. i tend to be unreasonable in my loyalty to my friends. i don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. however, i can get very protective of my friends when they are attacked in any sort of way. this applies not only to those friends i've had for years, who i know and who know me well, but also my internet friends. that is all.

she was on letterman last night. cool actor. showtime has been running "hard candy." terrific although terrifying film. see it if you haven't yet. i want to see juno, released recently, but i don't think it will come to this crazy little town where i live. will have to wait for the dvd release.

had a poem accepted by a small mag in sacramento, "the tule review." that's cool.

so often it feels like too much of a workout getting out of bed in the morning.

final day of 2007. big whoop. i get kick out of how meaningful this day and night becomes. but, what does it mean? simply that the days are finally getting longer, the weather moving toward warmer, etc.. nevertheless, have a cool time. stay well. all that.
