Hello friends. I am sad to report that Wensday will be my last day on SG, for a while. This is my last semester of nursing school, and school is going to keep me so busy that I cant keep a job. So, I have quit my subscription to the wonderful SG. But I should be banking after graduation, so I am planning on coming back some day soon.
Thanks for all the great times. The parties, the parades, the super yummy Chuy's nights, the Rocky Horror experience....it's been a blast! But I gotta hit the books now, so I can be super nurse Courtney.

Hey, where the hell is everyone?
Started school last week. Suuuuuuckkkkyyy!!! Had to attend 18 hrs of a review class for our HESI exam. Which is the NCLEX (licensing exam) practice test. So I had to go to a practice session of a practice test! Anyways, I already skipped one day, and I only had four days of school yet.
Enough about that. Went to see the flametrick subs last night at Clearview. It was ok. I got really super tired tho, they didn't come on until 12:30, and I went to bed around 10:30 the night before, so I felt really old!

Went down to Austin for the weekend. Had an ok time. On Sat night we went out bar hoping. I was sooo sleepy though, and then this bar tender pissed me off, so I didnt have a very good night. Sunday was a much better day. We woke up at 1pm, went and got some lunch at Huts hamburger joint. Then we went to Ginny's for chicken shit bingo. For those of you unfamiliar with this concept....they put a chicken in a small pen, and the floor of the pen is a wood slat, that has numbers 1-50 drawn on it. They sell of tickets for two bucks a piece, and whatever number the chicken shits on, is the number that wins. We didnt win, but damn it we were close. After that we went back to 6th street to play some pool, and pinball at casinos. I really like that bar, if I lived in Austin, I think that would be "my bar."
Then we made a trip to an all nude bar, called XTC. I got felt up by just about every stripper there!! Fun fun. My friend, got really hammered, and asked the strippers if we could get on stage and dance with them, but they said its not allowed. Then my friend got even more hammered, and just started dancing by herself by then stage. It was funny.

Been fighting with the stupid fucking cell phone company, over our bill. We got majorly screwed, makes me want to go back to my anti-cell phone days. Got the bill down to $600, it was up to over 1,000 for both phones for the last two months. Totally ridonkulous!
Anyway, yesterday I went with my boyfriend to see his ill grandfather. He has been diagnosed with alzhiemers, for over 6yrs now. They just got him a hospice nurse, and she told the family that his time is short. From 1-6 weeks. It is very sad, I wish I could of meet him before he became ill. My bf, always tells me the best stories about him. Like how, they use to race eachother on their bikes, and how he would tell the nurses at the hospital that he had aids, just to see the reaction on thier face. Although, its heartbreaking to see him go, it is also nice to see their whole family coming together to take care of him. I hope I have all the love that he has, when I go.

The band was ok, but they dont serve alcohol there, and it was 10 DOLLARS, for a band we didn't even know. Yes yes I know I am a cheap ass. Afterwards we went bar hoping in deep ellum with another married couple I know from highschool. I really didnt like this girl that much in highschool, just cause she never really had much to say. But she is wayyy cooler now. We all went to Elm Street bar, then July Ally, and lastly the Velvet Hookah.
Elm Street bar was pretty chill as always. We got dollar jello shots, and that's always a good deal. July Ally sucked, we too narrow of a bar, and way too crowded. It was our first time in the Velvet Hookah, and I have to say we were all pleasently suprized. Despite the tedious techno music, it had a cozy atmosphere, nice people, and my fav the belly dancers. The belly dancers hopped around on the floor, and jumped up on the tables, and even danced with other girls.
And I got to be one of the other girls! Aaron went over and told one of them I wanted a dance, so I got up and did a bit of hip shaking.

I found a "lower half arobics" video yesterday at the goodwill. My abs and legs are killing me. That video is so hilarous, the music, the lingo, the men with curly hair and tiny little biking shorts!
Went to the mall today, and walked three miles. And did some shopping. There were some great sales today. I got this pink tshirt that has the virgin mary on it, and it says Mary is my homegirl. Pretty neato huh?

How was your New Years Eve? Mine was pretty good, although not as I had planned it. I stayed in Cleburne. Masaba and her bf, went out bar hopping with us. We went to the first bar, bec it had a shuffle board. We never got to play on the damn thing, but the bartender did make some kick ass Kaluha mudslides for Masaba and I. Then we went to drink at Chilies, and had the nicest bartender ever. I some drunk guy hit me in the head with a waded up napkin, when I wouldn't answer his questions, I just laughed. Then we tried to have sex in the bathroom at Chiles, but got busted by Masaba's boyfriend. So we went home, and had a champagne toast with Conan O'Brian. And im sure you can guess what happened before we went to bed.
Yesterday, I went out and bought a bunch of scrapbooking materials, so I can finish our Boston trip scrapbook. It's a lot of work!
And I bought some knitting supplies, I was inspired by all the SG'ers who are interested in taking up knitting/ or already are knitting experts. So, im pretty excited about my new projects.

last night I babysat my friend's 4 year old daughter. I decided to watch her for free, bc my friend is going through a rough separation and she is having lots of trouble with her older daughter. Besides, this kid is so cool.

So, I am now on this big "live healthy, loose weight" kick. I am going to walk 2 miles at least 3 X's a week, and I am eating lower cal foods, etc. Because I realized that I have lost a large proportion of my self esteem lately, and its causing problems with my bf. I have put on 20 lbs since I started college (around 4.5 years ago) and its really starting to piss me off. For those of you who know me, yes I know that I am not fat, and I know that I am within range for my height.
BUT GOD DAMNIT I STILL WANT TO DROP AT LEAST 10 LBS.
So, if any of you have any good tips for me, let 'em roll.

Im just sitting here waiting for my family to show up at mi casa for Xmas. There always late. I made a green been caserole and spinach salad, and they need to hurry so I can eat. What did you make for Xmas dinner??
I got a new pair of diamond earings from my bf, and he got me three new CD's. The earings are beautiful, but my fav gift is the Patsy Cline cd that he got me. We dont get to spend Xmas day together, bc we have so much family, he's got three different places to be today. Unngghhh.
Oh well, I least I have my family coming to my house, that is super awesome! This is the first Xmas ever, that I didn't have to travel to someone else's house.
