So, I've always been sort of reluctant to post too much about my life for random strangers to read online. I know that everyone here does it and maybe one day I will but in my 4+ years here, I've seriously posted less than 20 blogs. It's hard for me to find things that I think are interesting enough to put into the world.
As an experiment, here's everything going on right now. Let me know what you think...
Things have been MEGA busy at work. I've easily worked 100 hours in the past 2 weeks. Easily. I'm at home in NY now and I'm not even going out tonight because I have to wake up and crank out a project tomorrow before I get to see my friends :-(
Tomorrow should be fun though. My friend from back in the day is in from San Francisco for the weekend and even though it's not the best of circumstances that brings him here, I'm happy to see him. Cookout in the burbs during the afternoon, then down to the Nitty Gritty.
I really miss NYC. It used to be home and I totally took it for granted. I wish there were some way that I could live there but despite the craziness, I love my job and there's no way I'm leaving any time soon. I've made such awesome friends over the past 4 years, they're really like family now. Plus, in this day and age to work at a startup that's actually doing well is pretty fortunate.
I am excited about my "band" too, although we're still a ways away from playing out. There's only two of us now but that makes it great for writing new stuff. The thir dude we were playing with was unquestionably the most talnted of the three of us, but he also didn't want to play the simple, pop-sensible stuff we wanted to play. It always turned into, "Let's do that C part two and a half times, then lock in on some hits, then this random part, then back to the B part". I just want to play Bob Pollard/GBV-type indie pop. If you want an mp3, I can email (or Rapidshare) to you.
OK, I think that's it. It needs to get sunny and warm again. This rain is bullshit.

So, I'm pretty much moved in at this point into my new place. It's right downtown, near my work. Literally5 minutes by bike, which is awesome.
Also, I'm single again, as of Sunday. Mixed feelings about it. The worst part is always that you don't have anyone in your life that gives a shit about all of the mundane things. Oh well. At least I get to explore my spring fever. Too bad I'm too busy to ever go out.

Pros: 5 minute bike ride to work / getting 60-90 minutes of my life back M-F, great restaurants,Toro (around the corner) has $1 PBR cans, there are lots of dogs in that neighborhood, I will be really close to Flour, I am steps from the #1 bus into Cambridge, About 10 steps beyond the bus stop is an original Shepard Fairey the place is huge and I think I'm getting a pretty good deal on it
Cons: I live and work in the same neighborhood, which means I'll probably never leave it, The South End is crazy expensive, Everyone is going to think I'm gay, even more than they already do, I'm far from my friends, there's not an easy way to get to Allston, which is where most of my friends still live.
Also, I love Vermont, or at least Burlington. I just got back and my trip was as good if not better than it always is.

1) I'm waiting to hear about SXSW this year. I'm hopeful but not overly hopeful that I'll get to go for work again this year.
2) Having serious problems with the gf. As in, I'm almost single problems.
3) Totally fucking swamped at work
4) Had the most amazing dinner of my life tonight at Rocca with my soon-to-be "boss" and some dudes from WFNX, Boston's Alternative station. Both the food and the stories were amazing.
5) I'm happy that I've been able to bike a bunch recently. Not excited about how much I let myself get out of biking shape this winter. My legs really feel it after a mile or so now. Pathetic.

Yeah, so, nothing to report really. Things are moving a long with the lady although we fight a lot. Maybe too much. Who knows? I hate my new apartment although I think I'm almost done painting, finally.
Does anyone have any experience with memory foam mattresses? I'm thinking about buying a tempurpedic but there are so many other memory foam mattresses that are a zillion times cheaper. Good, non-bias information on the subject is hard to find.

Sooooo, I have a girlfriend now. Mixed feelings about the title scenario but really happy I found a rad, tiny, hot girl that makes me laugh. We're still in that stage where all we do is have sex, but that's not so bad, is it?
