i'm so proud of myself
no, i havent stopped biting my nails yet, that is a lost cause
but i got my ears pierced a few weeks ago, and i still have them!
i've had my ears pierced 4 times on my left, and 3 on my right. and they always seem to get infected or close up and whatnot.
first time, i was just young and stupid, and i didnt take care of it, so it got infected.
second time, when i got both done, i was working 2 jobs at the time, and i managed to get a day off from both jobs at the same time. so i took the earrings out to clean them, and since i wasnt geting much sleep, i slept for liek 14 or 15 hours that day. when i woke up, they were closed.
the third time, i was taking care of them and everything. cleaning them daily, turning them when i was supposed to. but i later realized that i was turning them at work.
i handle money all day at work. dirty dirty money. and then i touched my ears. bad bad bad infection that time.
but i learned my lesson, and i've been very careful not to touch them at work, and wash my hands before i do touch them.
who knew 2 little tiny holes would be so much trouble.

i applied at another casino on tuesday. one thats closer to my house.
im really really hoping for it, because it'll mean a bit more pay, and less traveling equals less gas equals even more money per payday i dont have to throw away.

my friend has been, for the last year, building a bar in his backyard. and its coming along rather nicely. so in honor of the bar, we started stocking up on liquor, and we decided to invent some drinks.
here are 2 of the winners (they're pretty identical):

Diabetic Shake (or diabetic milkshake)
ingredients:
Bowl of Ice
Vodka (about 2 shots)
Banana Rum (about 3/4 shot)
Kahlua (about 1 1/2 shots)
Chocolate Hazelnut Liquor (splash)
Root Beer - 1 can (or Root Beer Shnapps preferably - 3 shots)
Vanilla Ice Cream (about 3 or 4 scoops)
-Put ice and root beer into blender and blend until ice is half crushed. Add the rest of the ingredients, blend for about 10 seconds, so it's like a slushie.
serves about 4

Bowl of Ice
Vodka (about 3 shots)
Root Beer -1 can
Starbucks Coffee Liquor (as much as u want)
Starbucks Java Chip Ice Cream (about 3 or 4 scoops)
-Prepare the same as the diabetic shake

ok, so it hasnt exactly been 2 weeks, but im back.
i was just finding myself in a rut. spending hours on SG and it was getting a little boring.
But then i realized that my life is boring anyways, so i might as well comne here and complain about it to people lol.

i am getting so sick of my job. i like the company, they treat us really wel, and i like the poeple i work with.
its just the job itself. I'm beginning to HATE
it. I stand in one spot all day, counting money, and paying out money to the most annoying people on the planet.
My casino attracts some of the most diverse, and strangest people.
-We get the old people of course, who mostly are cranky, hard of hearing, and whatnot.
-We get the non-speaking guests who spend an eternity at my window becuase i cant understand them, they cant understand me, etc.
-we get tons and tons and tons of white trash. I donbt even have to explain how annoying most of them can be. I'm not talking typical rednecks, im talking missing teeth, dirty hands, dirty clothes, smelly and rude.
-and finally, we have lots of tweakers. we are the only casino in the area that doesnt try to keep them out. They spend hours upon HOURS playing keno, and searching the floor for pennies.
but most of all, its just the job thats getting to me. Everyday, its the same thing. i come in, count into my drawer. someone brings me a ticket. i cash it. someone needs change, i give it to them. someone needs to cash a ticket, i cash it. someone needs to casha check, so i cash it. someone needs to cash a ticket, i cash it.
