I feel people are more lonely these days. Speaking as a lonely person, I feel a major contributor this is social networking sites. Though I use social networking site such as facebook and suicide girls; i find it better to run into new people and socially interact with people in a non internet relationship. Saying this I feel that people want to rush into love or a relationship and are willing to put their faith in dating sites. I feel that is the most force form of loneliness. Maybe I'm just ranting but I'm not on the internet to get laid or meet my next lover. Now saying this I have no problem interacting on the internet with someone I have met and may find interesting and attractive. But for me I find more value in meeting a person in real life. That being said I can be a hypocrite from time to time. If anyone is bothered by this post... don't forget I'm just as guilty as you.
