wanted to share some of the concept art for the comic that ive been developing for the last year and a half. the main character Alaera is based on the likeness of Damsel Suicide. if anyone has questions about the plot or anything of that nature, ill be glad to answer

havent posted here in a while, i think almost 2 years. its kinda crazy. im gonna try and make this a weekly thing
i wish i had more to say tho, maybe next week?

We're putting the finishing touches on the album ::How Darkly We Dream:: in the coming weeks, and afterward we will be taking an indefinite hiatus...

Are you a fan of off kilter music? Like Tenatious D? These guys just released their first EP "Push" give them a listen and grab a copy

working on his debut album, if you enjoy a good fusion of folk and pop, youll love this guy

Having played together for 9yrs, this duo has their own unique style when it comes to experimental music, a date has yet to be set, but sooner (rather than later) they will be putting out a 5 song EP entitled ::Toast and Jam::

If youre into funk and old school hip hop, these guys are for you, with their first full length ::Warehouse Funk:: set to come out later this fall, you might just be moving to the beat of their drum
You can check out all of these bands on The FRG myspace and you can follow The FRG on Twitter

so i have to say, its pretty freakin cool that my band keeps getting played on the radio
kinda restores my faith in the fact that people dont want to listen to the "flavor of the week" all the time.

Not that anyone is really reading my blogs(I should probably talk to people but whatever), but if you havent noticed I pretty much have 2 things going for me right now, my family/girlfriend and my band. If you haven't checked out my band, please do. You might like what you hear. Anywho, I figured that if you listen to the songs and wanted to know what they were about I would be more than happy to explain them.
We're incredibly influenced by 3 very different genres of music. I am a huge fan of Blues/Classic Rock/Pop Punk(ie Muddy Waters, AC/DC and Say Anything), my drummer is a fan of Prog Rock/Metal(ie Dream Theatre and Night Wish) and my bassist is a Jazz man, plain and simple(ie John Coltrain and Miles Davis). We actually started out with just me and my drummer and we convinced our now bassist to come and jam with us and it sort of stuck that way. The majority of our songs came out of jams that would last 20-40mins and we would pick parts that we liked and the flowed well together and would condense them for the studio to 5-6mins songs. The fun part is that I dont always play guitar and my bassist doesnt always play bass and my drummer doesnt always play drums. Andrew(drummer) plays the keys as well and is going to be learning the bass. Christian(bassist) plays guitar and a little bit of drums and keys. I play bass and really want to learn keys and drums.
Our current cd is called "...Is Here" and is basically our foot in the door, if you will. the track listing is as follows:
1. Thom Jungle Harmony
2. One Way Road
3. For The Better
4. Take Me By The Hand
5. Juno
6. Midnight Blues
7. Carson City Train Robbery
Tracks 1 & 7 are instrumentals
Tracks 2 & 6 are blues tunes
Tracks 3 & 5 are acoustic songs(we're redoing Juno for our second album)
Track 4 is a piano ballad cuz who doesnt like a sappy piano ballad
there's a brief overview of Carson but if you want to know more please drop me a comment or whatever you want, i would love to talk your ear off about the band or music/movies/stories in general
