That was a stressful week. Actually, a lot of last month was stressful.
At work a new manager took over my team. I got this job because I proved to the company I am self-sufficient, self-motivated, and I work great by myself. This new manager is a micro-manger, and is constantly getting in my business. I can do my job, and I exceed every requirement, all you have to do is tell me that I'm exceeding requirements, have a great day. She also is trying to make us feel like a big team. I have no need nor reason to talk to anyone else on my team because we all do completely different jobs. We live in different cities, some different states, our jobs are very different, and in the last year my only communication with any of the others was that someone got married and sent a mass e-mail. I liked it like that, hence the reason I took the job.
She also made a bunch of changes to my job which are just...well aggravating and stress-inducing to the point I'm considering looking for another job. It would have be to be a great job that pays more than I'm getting paid now or in my field (Film)...but I am looking. Before this manager, my job was no stress at all...now the end of every month is going to be a stress fest. Great.
Then there was the lady. We had a conversation at the beginning of the relationship about long term goals and plans, and realized that we didn't really have a future. I thought we had a good understanding as to what we both wanted in the relationship. Well, then she started to wanting to hang out all the time, and then telling me how much she really liked me...she wanted more. Of course, this all boiled over during one of my more stressful weeks at my job, so that made things just super-dandy.
She also got somewhat manipulative. I've been in an emotionally abusive relationship before, and I just shut-down to any form of manipulation or "game playing." I like communication, I like having conversations about where we are and how we feel in the relationship. It's probably one of the reasons I'm not very good at having "Flings" or other short-term relationships...or maybe there are just a lot of immature people who can't say "this is what I want" and mean that.

I met up with my artist for the first time in over a month.
On one hand, I was a little disappointed. None of the pages are actually done, and I was hoping to get something up shortly.
But my disappointment was quickly squashed. The work that he has done is amazing. He has taken my storyboards and made great works out of them. While he only has the first 7 pages penciled out, the work is far surpassing what I thought he would produce for me. He also has produced two covers, which are amazing, the character design is great, and his little additions are in the perfect vain that my own concepts would come from. He is also still super excited about the project, and that the project allows him to work on multiple things at once.
His schedule had also been insane for the last month, with him working nearly daily. Now he has a set schedule that gives him a lot of time off (3 13hr days, followed by 4 days off). In a month we'll get back together and see how much he has done, and make a better time line.
His excitement has re-invigorated me with my work, too.

Hoping by the end of this month to start e-publishing my comic book, with weekly re-occurring updates. We'll see, I might just get the first 5-7 pages up and let the artist finish the rest.
