Kamloops - yep a very Canadian name. I was surprised to learn that it's just south of Dallas -- Dallas British Columbia. There's very rugged and semi-arid hills around the city, a lot like Southern California. No South Forks Ranch though. Unfortunately I never took my camera out of the hotel room. Shit.
Well the strike is over and I'm back home. I've gotta find out about my bike I left in Fort Mac, better do that tonight before I forget about it. And I have to clean my room, after 10 weeks of dropping by for a couple of nights and leaving it's completely out of control. In fact I think it's been a year since it's been organized (not coincidentally the last time I brought a new girl over to visit).
So now the tough decision, what to do with the money I saved during this process. There's a good down payment on a house there, or a couple years of school, enough to become a photographer? Where do I want to settle and put down roots? I've made some good friends in Edmonton in the past 21/2 years. But I love the mountains so much maybe Calgary would be better. But I'm really a Toronto boy and my family and so many friends are there. If I'm serious about being a photographer isn't that the place to be? I've got some soul searching to do...

I would go TO, if you are serious about photos. Plus, Edmonton winters. Once you're out again, you'll remember that the rest of the world doesn't automatically ask if their parking space has a plug-in.
