HI!!!

Long overdue blog,now I'm stuck at home with an extreme ankle sprain,it's now or never!

So since my last blog I went to Europe for the summer,visited friends,went to some gigs,did lots of touristy things,ate,drank,met a girl etc...

I'll upload some pics into albums rather than put them on to a massive blog.

So,been back in NZ since early December,struggled to get any work which I desperately needed when I got back,everyone was quiet so I just scaped by on little bits and pieces here and there.
The Hobbit was (and still is) going hard,and was hoping to get on that but everyone was pretty much locked down when I got back,if I hadn't spent that extra month in Japan!

Early Feb I started on a 6 episode mini series being shot down here,all on locations around Queenstown. It's called Top Of The Lake and it's written and directed by Jane Campion (The Piano),and stars (amongst others) Holly Hunter & Elizabeth Moss(Madmen,I didn't know her,I looked her up!)
It's a great (dark) story and it should look great,keep an eye out for it prob early next year!

Unfortunately i rolled my ankle just over a week ago,last (extra) shot of the day,end of the week,walking down a lakeside bank. Worst I've ever done to it before,couldn't put any pressure or walk on it for a week,now I'm still sore but walking(hopping) along on it with discomfort. Was going so good-the job,the money,havin a great time! Now I'm going insane doing nothing on week two.
I will return next week,probably with a fuckload of strapping.

This is what I've been staring at last couple weeks




All comes to an end tommorow,fuck yeah! I'll be on a plane to Europe next week for festivals and good times.

Yeah,so Europe for the summer.
For any Germans out there,give me some recommendations on some shit to do and see there,(ya wanna be a tour guide, even better!)also if anyone is going to(or is keen to)(or knows someone) see Judas Priest (very last tour) in Munich &/or The Big 4 in Gelsenkirchen, I got spare tickets so give me a holla.

Do the regional groups there (anywhere,UK,Sweden,Germany etc...)have get togethers or anything? That'd be pretty sweet.
Don't have any solid plans,I'm gonna just float around,catch up with mates,see some sights,eat and drink heaps so if anyones bored, you can show me around your town!

If Kyuss Lives happens to be coming to your town and you find yourself trying to decide whether or not to go,stop procrastinating and GO SEE them! They kick ass!. It was one of the best gigs I've been to this year,you won't be disappointed.
A mate of mine who I went up with(southern farm boy,redneck,hick),never been to Auckland before,gets offered a pill of some sort from some dude at the gig,and just takes the thing. Not something I'd recommend(I wasn't there at the time) but he got off lucky (think it was just speed or something),didn't get stalked,pass out and wake up in the gutter naked with sore butt cheeks.But I wouldn't tempt fate too many more times.! I guess he's got that look about him,he's always getting hit up by dealers on the street.Dealers stay away from me but the strippers at the club were all drawn to me!

Whilst I was in the city I went and saw Your Highness. I've read some real bad reviews about this and I'd have to say I thought it was fucken hilarious. Nothing special,just a good comedy,not everyone gets (or likes )that kind of humour but I enjoyed it.
Saw Thor3D as well (Natalie Portman double feature ), it was pretty cool,3D doesn't quite work as well with fast action sequences but it still looked pretty cool. and fuck was that guy ripped ay,thanks for making all the rest of us look real stink buddy!

Apart from that,ate heaps,drank a bit,caught up with mates,was a pretty good few days away.Came home to a snow storm,it's freezing and wet and haven't been able to work the last couple days.

Oh and watched Foo Fighters doco 'Back And Forth' today.It's real good.

Just discovered these guys. Really digging it. Not as dark or heavy as a lot of stuff I listen to, it's quite happy and upbeat actually. Catchy as fuck and groovy.The guy has a wicked voice and writes some amazing melodies.
Looking forward to seeing them at Metaltown this summer.
