Tomorrow I am finally off. I should sleep til at least 10. I need to do a bunch of laundry and I should eat lunch with my mom. The Ziz has requested pork chops for dinner. I promised them to go to Frankenweenie. I am excited to see it too. The wife is in great spirits and getting into the spirits as well so tonight promises to be fun. I am off to purve, have fun SG.
Day seven of my ten day in a row work grind is in the books. Yesterday sucked balls, I was scheduled to work 14 hours and then shit got a bit out of control at the end. Chill as I am, when I am exhausted I am easy to piss off and then my brain stops working. I had one of those moments as I realized I had two parties going at the same time and no scheduled help and the help I was going to steal wasn't coming in because of a family tragedy and I lost the receipt for the shopping trip I had to make at the last minute because some jack ass didn't do their job. It was the first time in a long time that when the boss walked by and asked if everything was cool I didn't say yes. I said " no actually everything is fucked right now" He looked shocked and then grabbed the exec and the new sous. The three of them did the one thing I told them I needed them to do and I put out the other 15 things I had going on. New menu comes out tomorrow and we are no where close to ready but I will be busy with banquets so they can sink on their own. Friday cannot come soon enough. The girls were super pissed that I worked Sunday because they wanted to go see Frankenweenie. I promised them we could see it friday night mostly because I really want to see it too. Blah, more later I need to eat.
What a week it has been already. Today at worked sucked balls. It was an easy day but everyone was just in a shit mood including me and I just couldn't get out fast enough.
Last week we rearranged the living room to accommodate the piano. Now the computer is next to the tv which is cool but has kind of hindered my SGing a bit as the girls can see the screen from the toy room and when they are watching tv. Things have been good with the wife. She has been in good spirits with the trip coming up and her work going well. She has stepped up her girl watching a bit too. I think being able to check out a sexy thick girl or 2 over my shoulder has got her going more. We also watched this movie "the Secretary" with James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal which I had never been able to get through because it is dark and uncomfortable. Sitting there with the wife I watched the whole thing and it is actually pretty hot. The wife really dug it. I really dug the next two hours of crazy awesome fun time. Sucking and shaving and spankings, oh my. I am glad my children are sound sleepers.
Tonight we start packing and tomorrow we leave. I am so ready to not work for five days. Today in the midst of all the bull shit the exec told me he is looking for another job. I do not want his job, I hope he is still there when I get back. Dinner is here, Peace SG.

no one has read this so I will add a little. The girls returned from their haircuts. Ms Sun came back with a chin length bob the is a little shorter in the back than in the front, blah, she loves it. The Ziz just got a trim so she still has her long blondie curls. The packing has begun and the last load of laundry is in. The wife went in to work for a bit but has promised to return and love on me since alone time will be scarce for the next week. So whiskey and I are awaiting her return.

Two days til we head out to Oregon. I am sure that there are SG people I would like to meet in Portland but we are taking the girls and our time is going to be monopolized by the wife's family but maybe we can hit up a bar one night. I have some friends out there in a bluegrass band but I don't think they are playing next week. I am looking forward to/dreading this trip it should be fun but there are always so many things that can get screwed up and I haven't really had anything to do with the planning so I really won't know whats coming til it happens. My feet could use the break. No matter what at least I will not be standing for 12 hours any of these days. Tomorrow the girls go to get haircuts. I always dread those days.
The girls were gone with my mom for the weekend. They had a great time. I worked the whole time and the wife spent saturday in bed with a migraine so we didn't really capitalize on the opportunity. We have wrangled a new desk from a friend that is the pivotal piece in what will be the total rearranging of the living room to accommodate the piano. That was supposed to happen saturday and didn't so we are stalled for now. All in good time.
It is getting close to time to go to Portland for the wife's brothers wedding. The girls are excited go go on a plane. I am looking forward to getting away from work for five days and the wife is looking forward to our first family vacation in a while. I am hoping that the exec still has his job when I get back. He really hasn't been doing himself any favors of late and in his frustration has been lashing out at everyone. It is possible that he loses it while I'm gone. I had two off sites this week and ran into two big wigs from my old job at the hotel. That was weird but it was nice that the functions went so well and everyone was impressed. It is nice to have all the tools to do things right and really cater well. This job is such a crazy mix of people and egos but the pieces are all there for it to be a great job. I question my self all the time for leaving the stability of the club but this place is more fun even if it is a ridiculous amount of work.

The free piano became a bit of drama, of course. Turns out that the salt of winter has corroded the wiring harness for my trailer hitch and the champions at u haul were unable to fix it in time so I had to enlist the help of the owner and the catering trailer to haul it. It only cost me a fifteen hour work day and 25 dollars worth of burger king which is significantly cheaper. My fifteen hour day came first, when I got stuck at the offsite til 12:00 because I was the only on with a car big enough to break down the bar and take it back. That was also odd because the guy who was the music ended up being a friend of mine from way back so at least I had some one to talk to for a while. The boss dropped off the piano in front of the house because he had to get to a hockey game and my buddies and I got it in the house. I did manage to wrangle one more guy so with four of us and the wife keeping the dollies moving and in place we got it in with no blood and minimal swearing and gnashing of teeth. Now we just have to rearrange the living room to fit it in and get it tuned. It have so finish damage that is fairly recent but the workings are still in great shape. This is ramble-y and I am exhausted. I am off for the night SG.

I wrote a blog yesterday then my computer turned amish and everything went away. It wasn't very good anyway. This morning I woke up and had to pull a tooth before work. The Ziz lost her first tooth, there was a little blood and crying but she quickly turned that around to tooth fairy excitement. Ms. Sun was sick yesterday but back to good again today.
Tomorrow is a stupid busy day at work because it is parents weekend and high school homecoming this weekend. Tonight was crazy and tomorrow should be twice as busy. Luckily I will be doing an offsite wedding so I should miss the bulk of the retardation. woohoo.
One of my favorite newer country guys is in town tonight but there is no way I can get out to see him. Fred Eaglesmith is an odd dude with some cool songs.
Sunday I have to drive down to Alton and move an upright grand piano then bring it home and stuff it in my house. I have wrangled my two friends that I can con into helping me do stupid things and the kids should learn a few new words and get some life lessons watching the spectacle. ISU is sponsoring a youth symphony thing called "the string project" Ms. Sun will be participating and has chosen to learn to play the bass. 1/4 size bass to start. I am not buying a real one until I am sure she is going to stick with it for a while but I have been looking for an excuse to buy an upright bass for ever so I am rooting for her to like it.
