Family starts arriving today. I get christmas eve and day off which is cool.Two more work days to suffer through; at least my parties are over til after xmas. I am feeling a lot better. Most of my shopping is done just a few thing left to get for the wife. We decided to break down and upgrade our phones to I phone 4. The wife wanted an Ipod for xmas and my phone is on its last legs from years of kitchen abuse. We were both eligible for upgrades so they were free. We also figured out how to set up the wifi for the girls. The wife is in a baking frenzy so I am off to see if there is anything I can lick. 
Well, I have had two days off in a row but only because friday night I almost collapsed at work and no one there could pick me up if I hit the ground. Friday was the last stupid huge party night of the season. I had so much going on and I am still fighting this cold I have had for a month. About hour ten I had essentially an asthma attack that my inhaler couldn't touch and I put out the last two parties gasping like a fish on the bank. The owner sent me home as soon as he could finish without me. I came home and nuked myself with all the drugs at my disposal and then went to the doc in the morning. The doc sounded like he thought I had TB or at least pneumonia
but after chest xrays and a few other tests it was just acute bronchitis. I left with three prescriptions and I got to take today off too so I am feeling much better.
Since I got the day off and was able to leave the bed we went out and did our Christmas shopping blitz. We melted one credit card but we got the girls done and we bought ourselves some things. We got about 90% of our other shopping done before the wife tapped out. We did this style Christmas shopping a couple years ago and the wife has definitely come around to my way of shopping. Man shopping I call it. Three stops, no walmart, no best buy which are the two worst places to shop this time of year. The girls got most of what they wanted and we got some great clothes deals which the girls are also happy to get clothes. I got a Wii for less than it was going to cost me to send the other one on to get fixed which was a coup.
Even sick it has been a fun couple days hanging with the family. Everyone has been in a good mood and lots of little jokes going on. Today while the wife was napping I tagged her with a marker and gave her a Zorro Z
in the tramp tramp spot. She didn't notice it til later which was a fun time. I have bugged her for years to get a real one to let everyone know I was there. She is not game. The girls have been busy making cards and snowflakes so my living room carpet looks like a blizzard.

I have a new niece. I have no pictures yet but the deal is done and my brother and his wife have taken possession of a little girl. "I just bought this baby straight cash!" not really just a by the book adoption I suppose but I like to give him shit. I can't wait to see her but I think the fact that she came this week means they won't be coming home for christmas so who knows when they'll be out next. Tomorrow will be the worst day of the season as far as being busy goes then things should settle down. I could have stayed at work til mid night and not got all my shit done for tomorrow. It has been a crazy week. I spent yesterday at the hospital with my dad's dad. I thought I was going to to see him before he died. When I got there he was doing better than the day before I will probably live to leave the hospital. That is good but he probably won't to go back to his house which means my grandma will end up in an alsheimers ward somewhere. It will be a sad decline.
On a happy note I got to go see the Ziz sing songs at her friendship feast today. It was cute. They sang a song called "thanks a lot". It was not the Earnest Tubb song which was a bit disappointing but this one was more appropriate for the occasion. I sang it to her the other day and the wife said when she tried to practice her song she kept trying to sing it like mine. Ooops. She got it right today.
The inlaws show up in a couple hours so I should get on my house cleaning. Have fun SG.

I got off early for the Ziz's birthday. My youngest child is six. God I am old as hell. Any way I did get out and get her a card because she was very insistent that I should make time to do that. It is super sparkly and cute and it comes with stickers, score one for the dad. Tonight we are going to the chinese buffet per her request and then sunday she is having a party with her friends at the zoo. The zoo is cheap to do and the babysitters mom runs the gift shop so she makes their treat bags awesome. She is getting a national geographic book on animals because of the zoo thing and some barbie thing that comes with a swing set and two lil midget ass barbies which I assume are her kids. One of them is black but the other one is white so I don't know how that works out because Ken is white but he is also a eunuch and while the girls have a black barbie I have never seen a black Ken. Maybe they are some kind of triad family and they are both Ken's baby mamas but that would still beg the question, How?. Perhaps I have over analyzed it.
At work the new rage is for all the long haired ladies to put their hair up in a "sock bun" which is a bun that you wrap around a sock to make it look more full. They keep threatening to do it to me but I am resisting. All the other long haired guys at work have cut their hair in the past couple weeks. Blah to that, I can't deal with short hair. I am always miserable til it grows back out.
It is finally cold. I dig the colder weather. Fall is my favorite time to be outside. I've got shit to do so Peace Out SG.

Here I am watching Black Hole and trolling SG. Black Hole is a lot worse than I remember it being but Earnest Borgnine is in it so I suppose it has that going for it. It has been decades since I have watched it and in my mind it was a lot more like Flash Gordon. Maybe it would be better if Queen did the sound track.
I was looking for a different song and found this today. Pretty good song.
Yesterday the girls raked and jumped in leaves, hooray for fall. They also smashed their own pumpkins. I fully expected them to be taken out by the neighborhood kids by now but they slacked. Opportunity lost hoodlums.
Wednesday is the Ziz' birthday. I wrangled getting off at three which is in time to pick her up from school and get to go to dinner with the family. She was very concerned that I would be working so she should be thrilled. I hope they get their fill of me on Wednesday because I won't see them again til Sunday the way things are looking at work. I could blah blah blah about work but why? Well I am off to purve for a while. Have fun SG.
