Yes I am a graphic designer but no, I won't design your sister's wedding invites for free because you knew me in high school.
Was meant to be going to Melbourne this Friday night for a a 30th... shoot on Friday just got extended and I'm going to miss my flight...
Monday is a Public Holiday... for some
Not for me though... I worked. That's what happens when you run your own business.
But do you know what? I wouldn't trade that for the world. Sure I work on public holidays, weekends, late nights, early mornings but when I want to, I just get up and go for a walk, take a few days off, watch some TV or smoke a joint... That my friends, is awesome!
But enough of my carrying on... whats happening in SG-Land? I hope all is well.
This week I have a few jobs on... branding for a real estate company, brochure for a Waygu Beef company and a few other little projects. Im also doing a talk for AGDA called First Five Out, where I and a few other dudes and dudettes from the design industry talk to kidlettes just finishing their degree's on what it's like in the real world of design. I love public speaking; have no problems with it at all, but for some reason I am really shitting myself on this one. Im a little country-bumpkin designer and Ill be sharing the stage with some designers who are seriously awesome. I guess we will wait and see.
Fortunately the event is at a pub so if I screw up too badly I always have the option of getting crazy-drunk afterwards (because that will make everything better! :whatever
OK, time to watch the new ep. of MAD MEN.

Long time no speak on my part but I hope you all are kicking goals for your chosen deity or non-deity!
Now, I have a favour to ask! smile James Fosdike, a dear friend of mine and a kick-ass Aussie illustrator has a comic entered in the world's biggest comic competition over at zuda.com (DC Comics owned).
He is currently in second place and I, including quite a few others think it is worthy of first place!
So here is the rub. If you have a spare three minutes, pop over to zuda.com, register (they don't spam) and check out his comic DEADLY. If you like it, then vote, comment and add to favourite <--- very important that you add to favourites!

When the earth became barren and the air toxic, almost all its people abandoned Australia.
Only the indigenous population remains, refusing to leave while attempting to resuscitate a dead land.
It is a dangerous task. The wildlife have become twisted and mutated with a taste for flesh. Breathing the air will either kill you or turn you into a living nightmare. A lone terraformer rescues a child that can breathe air. He wants to know why, but the kid's not talking. He'll find out before the week is through, if he can stay alive.

Being stoned is a state of mind...
Wow... that was deep man. Truth is though, I am stoned. I was thinking about getting a new tattoo and was trying to remember the "top shops" I had heard of around Melbs... fact is, after smoking a blunt and watching "Don't Mess with the Zohan" (terrible choice of movie I know, with all the Iraeli/Palestinian stuff going on) I was not in the frame of mind to remember what I just ate (Arnott's Country Cheese crackers... I had the munchies!) let alone what were the best ink shops in the Victorian capital.
After much googlin' and other technorati hooliganism, I thought of a wonderous place that I once frequented, bathing in the reflective glow of like minded, beautiful people that shared my love of the individual.
Sucide Girls. The One. The Only. The Hottest Fucking chicks on the planet... right here on my computer screen.... and also the finest minds, pouring forth the desired information I would require... Tattoos, Melbourne. Let me know your thoughts.
