Yay, another year older...

...and the last year before 30

Yeah, so I almost drowned last night...on my birthday, no less. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so fucking scary. It did make the news here in San Diego (http://www.cbs8.com/stories/story.104066.html), although they got 90% of the details wrong. The fact that they found Nikki face down really freaks me out. OK, from here on out, I live life to the fullest, because last night, I almost died without having any control over the situation...and it was horrible.

Well, I've decided that I really want to live somewhere around Seattle...like Tacoma, or Olympia. I spent a year and a half there a while back, and now I have no idea why I ever left.

My best friend is finally coming home.

Thank god.

Whatever way you slice it, it's been 13 years since their last proper album(s), Use Your Illusion.

There have been leaks left and right from the "new" album, Chinese Democracy, over the years. However, the stuff leaking out lately sounds really, really good. Even though they are supposed to be "demos", the songs Better and The Blues sound fan-fucking-tastic. The first time I heard Better, I didn't think it was anything special, until I woke up for the next 3 days with it in my head. Another demo song, The Blues, is pulling me in now, along with There Was A Time.

If you haven't heard these songs, and are a GNR fan, they are amazing. And don't give me that "Axl with another band" crap, cause we all see how Velvet Revolver turned out, which was just GNR with a new singer. Sorry Scott, but you are no Axl Rose.

I really hope Chinese Democracy comes out soon. If it doesn't, at least I have these leaks to tide me over, and they are some fucking awesome leaks.

Just put it out Axl. The world already thinks you are concieted (sp?) and a perfectionist...just prove to us that you are still a good songwriter.

However, if you like bands that don't suck, run to your nearest Cocksucker Video and rent Live, Tonight, Sold Out! by Nirvana. You won't regret it, unlike that night a few weeks ago, when you went out to the bar and brought that, uh, "woman" home.
