Ray-Ban Sunglasses Commercial (Art Institute of Dallas Student Project)

Here it is.. one of my old student projects uploaded for your enjoyment.. Back when I was going to "Art Institute of Dallas" in 1996, me and half of the class did a "Ray-Ban Commercial" for the final project in our video production class. The other half of the class did a spoof of "Alien Autopsy" titled.. "Illegal Alien Autopsy"... which was quite funny. My role in this particular project was Videoarapher, aka Camera Man. With the exception of the times I left the Time/Date Index on (which you can see in several shots), I think I did a fairly good Job.

Vox QotD: Endings?

Do you think it's true that "All good things must come to an end?"

Yes I do.. otherwise I'd always be 20 years old, not working all the time, and still dating a 34D-24-35 Redhead! Sometimes I wish it didn't end but we all have to grow up one day.

Folding Towels..

There is a camp who insist that if you fold a towel.. it must be folded a certain "proper" way. Why? What's the difference. Isn't any way you fold a Towel just as good as the next?

This weekend was a fun one. Went and saw the "A-Team"... twice as a matter of fact. I thought it was good. If you were a fan of the T.V. show (as I was) you will probably enjoy this film as well. Also went to the "House of Blues" in Dallas and saw a Burlesque show from the ladies of the "Ruby Revue". I also got to meet fellow D/FW SuicideGirl members CosmicComics and Tovi for the first time. Both were really cool cats and I hope I get to hang out with them again. As for today.. I plan on making this another lazy Sunday.. A bit of "Dragon Age"..a Nap.. possible go to the gym.. then a Nap.. and finish off the last two episodes of "True Blood: Season 1". Good Times.

My Bi-Weekly Local Geek Shop

The quaint little shop I go to on the corner of Rufe Snow Dr. and Mid-Cities Blvd. every other week to pick up my books. The most notable book I picked up today was a new one-shot comic "Serenity" Float Out" by Patton Oswalt. A must buy for the fans of the 'Verse. I won't spoil the book.. but I have to say that it has a Final page that just makes you smile.

Weekend Update.

Friday wasn't too exciting.. I got off work early and did my usual. headed to the Gym. Of course, after that I treated my self to some Peanut Butter and Chocolate Ice-cream. And now that it's up and running again.. I took the Roadrunner out for a drive to end the day.

Saturday afternoon spent 3hrs (could have been longer) at the Walmart In Roanoke trying to get a new phone. After some Drama I did get a new Phone. After that I headed to Arlington to see a Comedy show featuring Mr. Chas Elstner.. and after a semi-crappy afternoon.. it was so good to let loose and just laugh. Then it was off to Dallas for a Midnight showing of "Birdemic - Shock and Terror" at the Inwood Theater. The internet hype is real.. the film was so fun.. this movie should be seen with a crowd. And The Inwood.. What a Movie Theater! I haven't been there since I saw "Blair Witch"..It is now my Favorite Theater in the D/FW area. If your looking for that Old School feel.. give this one a visit.. I can't highly recommended this theater enough.

And today was a nice Lazy Sunday.. Some Laundry.. a nap.. a few hours of "Dragon Age"..a nap.. continuing my "True Blood" marathon.. I'm re-watching Season 1 and making my way to Season 2 (I'm really crushing on Lizzy Caplan.. or her character at least).. and now ending the night and weekend by watching "30 Days of Night".

Good Bye.

My Grandmother passed away this morning. Our entire family was called to the Hospital around 3am because her body began to shut down. She was alive but sleeping when everyone arrived. We all got a chance to say our goodbyes individually and one final prayer with the entire family as the Priest administered the last rites. A few hours later she was taken off life support and she finally passed on to a better place.

Good Bye Grandma Lucy.. I Love you.. Petey.

Outlook Not Good

My Grandmother was admitted to the Hospital over the weekend because she wasn't feeling well and had lost feeling in one of her legs. And after a few days in the Hospital she hasn't gotten better. After some tests.. it appears that shes' not getting good blood circulation in her leg due to clogged arteries and there is nothing the Doctors can do to get it back healthy. So there is a possibility of Amputation..which is risky because of her Heart Condition.. so the surgery could be fatal. Or she can just let it be and try to ease the pain with meds.. but the pain wont' fully go away and it will last for the rest of her life. So.. either way.. it will be hard decision for her to make and either one won't necessarily lead her to live out the rest of her days very comfortably.

Honest Mistake

What Happens when you stick the wrong key into the ignition starter switch? In my case it got stuck.. and when I tried to "Yank" it out.. out.. half the key broke inside of it. So now it has to be replaced.. with a special order part no less. Best Case scenario.. the RoadRunner should be back up and running next weekend.
