I am DYING to get another tattoo!!
I was in a relationship for seven years with a man that controlled everything about our life. So much to the point that I had to ask to spend money that I had earned. One of those expenses that always got a "no" was tattoos. I'd never make that mistake again!! My current boyfriend loves tattoos, and understands how they're an extension of your personality.
Right now I'm slowly working on a sleeve, on my left arm (my left, your right). Finances definitely slow the pace, but it also gives me time to think about each part. But big plans for sure!!
I'm considering taking a second job to finance them. Ultimately I'd really love to learn to tattoo, but there's a process to everything. I think i'll check out some of the shops in the area, see if anyone needs counter help
But i've been totally hooked since my first tattoo! I got my first tattoo when I was 17. My mom was friends with the artist, and he did the tattoo in exchange for a piece of furniture - kinda ghetto, but ya gotta love the barter system! So after looking at tons of tattoo mags, and being totally inspired by Tibetan Buddhism, I decided to get a lotus. I even drew the lotus myself - it looks awful to me now! Haha! But I think your first tattoo always has sentimentality, even if you dislike it.
