"The Buddha, Geoff and Me" - Edward Canfor-Dumas
This "Modern Story" is a great explanation of the Buddhist principles. I have gone in and out of Buddhism for many years and nothing, as far as practicing Buddhist encounters, has come this close to making me believe in the power of genuine good bigheartedness as a good idea. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to learn the basic principles of how to live a Buddhist life. It doesn't have the diagrams and the history of the culture, like "Buddhism for Dummies," but it does explain terms through a narrator who doesn't quite understand the concepts himself. Again, a great read and all inspiring.
