hmmm. thats odd. i was going through some old video tapes and i cant find the last two hour mega weird episode of twin peaks. not like i ever had a complete collection, but that one was pretty essence of weird.
not being able to find it makes me wonder how long its been gone, who 'borrowed' it, and if it was truly important if id have noticed it before now. its important in a symbolic sense at least. i tend to wear my media preferences like marley's chains; my family all have a bit of the packrat in us, my own breed being collector/archivist/nerd.
one time, i was seeing this girl who had the most amazing habit. she bought things, enjoyed them, and then sold them. or gave them away. her home was so sparse spare and organized, i couldnt possibly understand it. to like something when youre twenty, and not when youre twenty five or thirty is rare in my case, if not unheard of. she kind of inspired me that way. of course, then she tired of me and gave me away.
so. no more last episode. until the dvd is released. which will probably be for the twenty year anniversary or some crap.
other dvds i have bought recently to replace aging and failing video tapes:
wallace and gromit,
the tick, first season.
nightmare before christmas,
pretty in pink,
ferris bueller,
goonies.
is this obsessive? no, wait, i know it is. is this obsession unattractive?

ive been having a crappy time of it lately, what with measuring my life as it is to where it ought to be (dont worry, my standards arent completely unreachable), but sunday i had ther most inexplicable happiness descend. it made no sense at all, i should always be feeling awful about my life but i guess you cant do anything all of the time.
tonight was spent searching for a free font that looks like handwriting for use in comic strips. also, i borrowed a Marantz brand tape deck from my old job in order to transfer all of my old cassette tapes to mp3. OH BIG USELESS PROJECTS! im recording them in albumn format, and then ill have to edit them down.
also, ive been reading harvey pekar comics and the brilliant "Wimbledon Green, the greatest comic book collector in the world!" which is actually brilliant. ill try to find some scans online.

I had fairly odd dream this morning:
i dreamt i was watching animation for the beginning of a film, or the titles to an animated film. (not so strange for me) it was some beautiful animation too, very active and expressive.
what was odd was that the main character was the disembodied head and neck of a dog, wiggling through rabbit and other animal tunnels to get away from some cats. each time hed get to a lower animal's living cave/burrow, that animal would arrange a title like, music by or starring or something. of course, being a dream, i cant read the titles.
whoo. nonsense or deep freudian implecations. anyone want to throw the dream interpretation book at me?
