I AM SOOO LAZY!

today is a freelance day, thank god, and im starting my freelance, um, now.
what can i say, it was pouring down rain this morning, which always makes me super sleepy. (super sleepy means sleeping past noon) things just kind of got lazier after that.

time to find my bootstraps and pull myself up by them, or something.

i just ordered two sets of these:

and im far too excited about the possibilities they portend. i might make my sister a birthday present... the easy way would be to paint the members of duran duran, as 20 year olds and as 80 year olds. the hard version would be to recreate some of the strangest scenes from 'days of our lives' in the past 15 years. see, my sister is a nut for both those topics; but really, the rest of the time shes high culture all the way.

alternately, ive been really pissed off the more plastics arent recyclable (and that philly is like second worst recycler in the nation) ive been thinking of painting an epic comic on the inside of peanut butter jar lids. it would have to be about poverty in some way.

I am SO glad i went to work a couple of minutes early today. I saw the greatest thing: this girl, she couldnt have been more than 12 or 13, on a girls school field trip. the girls school here, theyve got these drab uniforms something like maroon and navy. shes walking at the back of the line, and looks up,

and she has PAINTED her face to look like shes BLEEDING out her eyes.

it gave me hope for the dorks of the next generation.

now, spoiler, i dont think shes cool now. she probably has just like one friend (without the one friend, nobody calls for that kinda misanthropy) and shes failing, big time. but its that kind of outlandish trying and failing that makes life interesting, that makes art interesting when you DO get it right.

i mean, unless she learned it from insane clown posse. then she sucks.

3 day weekend. working on some comics design as its really too cold to go out. rented My Name is Earl and Pirates of the caribbean 2. my name is earl was great, but pirates, aside from depp's shenanigans was hollow and flat. the effects, while competent, are uninspired to me. oh well.

my Ipod arrives at work tomorrow. yay.

I know, im boring. Ill post some art real soon, i promise.

spent all day avoiding the drawing board. booo. this is more avoidance.

when i bought clothers for christmas, I bought the greatest thing. days of the week socks. not as sexy as underwear, but i likes em anyway.

and this very day, this day today,

spent a good deal of the day playing original super mario ('85) on an emulator on my mac. I am horrible at video games; on level 8, i am stuck. stuck because its very hard for me to get past turtles throwing hammers.

I found a tripod in the trash today. i spotted one flaw that i know how to fix. im not sure about the legs, though, theyre that screw design. im kind of addicted to giving good trash a home.

boo to going a month without updating. not like i dont do that all the time.

today i animated 3 seconds in about 5 hours, entered a film contest, and "acted" in a rap video while wearing my tuxedo tshirt and my bowling shoes.


it doesnt feel like philadelphia today.
