So, I'm reading Barack Obama's 'The Audacity of Hope' at the moment (I'm something of an Obama fangirl and keep up to with his acitivites via the LJ community Obama Daily [/stalker]) and I'm really rather impressed. He's puts his point across in a logical, well thought out way and his argument are easy to follow, even for someone who has but a pedestrian understanding of the US political system.
I find his tone to be positive and reaching and it's nice to see someone so outwardly enthusiastic about politics. Read it, y'all.
Apart from that the only exciting thing in my life is my new phone, a Nokia E63 which I love with a teeny tiny qwerty keyboard and all sorts of exciting functions. It's like PDA, mobile phone and a computer all rolled into one, albeit with a few draw backs.
The weather has been really rather lovely recently, and I've been taking this as a sign from some unknown deity and have been spending more and more time on the rooftop garden of my apartment sunning myself, reading, and gardening. It's a simple pleasure and I find it very relaxing to just stop and enjoy the feel of sunshine on my face after so many months of grey rain and miserable cold weather.
I still haven't decided what I'm going to do for university, though the University of Sheffield have given me an unconditional offer to study Sociology and I'm seriously considering it. Several of my friends are going there so at least I won't be alone in a big, unfamiliar city.

If something I'm working on comes off my little group at Leeds Met will control basically all the networking for the construction industry in Yorkshire.
Going to mean a hell of a lot of work if it does though!
