This day begin so sad. One of the favorite artists from my teenage years, Glauco was murdered by a crazy man. The things still without a good explanation, but the fact is we lost a talent, an idol.

Well, I am still procrastinating my Graduation Thesis. That one about American Porn Cinema from the 70's. As I am in a freak moment, I can not stop to think about a lot of ideas for many projects.
My short movie is still in risk, because my lack of money to produce and because is still hard to find the correct cast.
This weekend I decided to buy new books, I am in a my searching for any possible information for my future projects.

This one is about a Dramatic Company based in Sao Paulo, this company is famous for its visceral montages and for do good Marquis de Sade adaptations. One of the actress of the company was in the last Coffin Joe Movie:

You can see a highlight of one the company's montage in this video:
Sometimes I think that we need a group like this in Rio. Theater is a thing that is poor in Rio de Janeiro culture.

Friends, my character on Sunday went to the field in tears, wearing the number 10 jersey was already wore by Rivellino, which has been also by Assis. It was the first time for Wellington Silva as a professional player at the Maracana. At 17, he is still a kid, can not drive yet (In Brazil driving licenses only at 18). However, his football is of a growed man, it has been proven today.

Early in the match, the Argentinean midfielder Darío Conca invaded the area on the right and crashed after colliding with the defenser of the Friburguense. The referee Felipe Gomes da Silva pointed out penalty. Fred scored, with little break, but the judge sent back because there was invasion of the area. The second charge, this time without the controversial stop, Fred sent to the net: Fluminense 1 to 0. It is noteworthy that Conca again had great performance: the penalty suffered was only the beginning.
For example, Conca was the move that started the second goal tricolor. In spectacular launch, the Argentinean found Mariano free in the area. The crossing was far to Fred, but the defender Wallace saved just in the line of the goal. And then began to shine the star of Wellington Silva: the boy killed the rebound on his chest and glared into the goal. In celebration, more tears. Fluminense 2 to 0.
The second half came, and with it came the rain at the Maracana Stadium. and Wellington Silva back to shine. In great play on the left, the couple crossed the extent to Everton, who only anchored to the goal: Fluminense 3 to 0.
And Soon the fourth goal was made by the powder puff Squad. After triangulation between well crafted Mariano, Conca and Everton, the ball fell at the feet of Argentinian inside the area. He turned and hit it hard, no chance for the keeper: Fluminense 4 to 0.
The goal of honor of the Friburguense came at 38, when the tricolor Diogo put his hand on the ball inside the area. The penalty was converted by Wallace: Friburguense 1, Fluminense 4.
At 41, the last goal of Fluminense. After a strong kick by Conca, André Lima mastered and finished. They were the final numbers in the score of Maracana: Fluminense 5 to 1.

When Wellington Silva was replaced by coach Cuca, he cryed again, under intense and well-deserved cheers from the crowd tricolor. It's him, he just might be my character on Sunday.
Sadly the stands were empty because of ticket prices and because tomorrow is a holiday in Rio, which makes this weekend bigger and people often traveling.

But not everything was football on Sunday, congratulations to my Canadian friends for the title of your Hockey team, to my American friends, you were brilliant too, in Sochi you can win.

The United States may have won the game of hockey in the Winter Olympics, but the Canadian fans kept laughing last and better.

BTW, I love the Canadian Verve.

Duff McKagan wrote in his weekly column which appears in the Reverb of SeattleWeekly.com:
"Major labels are dying because of their shortsightedness, brought on when they introduced a digital format just to sell the catalogs of certain acts all over again. Little did they know in 1989 that every home would have a computer some five short years later. When Napster tried to make a deal with the majors on revenue-sharing through advertising on that site at the time (hundreds of millions of dollars in 1997), the majors buried their head in the sand and continued their lawsuit with Napster. Napster lost, and the floodgates of free content to everyone have never stopped, and never will. Artists are the smartest people when their backs are against a wall. Free music will serve as the new loss leader to bands trying to attract a larger audience."
I'm looking for a way to produce films independently, without the need for any major or mainstream producer behind me. Any suggestions?
Free downloads are irreversible, you can not face the current, the solution is to find a method of financing that will allow them to his work in many media, and then you can create something more material that will interest those who want to buy.
Although it is difficult for both musicians and filmmakers to this periodode free downloads for an independent filmmaker is a major difficulty, movies cost a lot of money to be made, and the question is always, where can earn this money?

Summertime, The days here in Rio are hot like hell. But This heat make that sometimes thunderstorm be present.
Despite, those strong storms make some tragedies in brazilians metropolis, I love to look to a thing that I always think is sublime. Lightining.
This one I capture yesterday from my home window.

This weekend, I went to some friends in Sao Pedro da Aldeia, a small town on the northern coast of Rio de Janeiro. (An explanation, Rio de Janeiro, the city where I live, is the largest city and capital city fo a state of the same name).
We were in a group of five people, drink some beers, play a variation called soccer goal on goal, play fussball, and go to the beach. More importantly, being with friends, have fun and relax from the rush of the metropolis.

I decided to let the pictures speak more than I get very describing here. I hope you enjoy, and I hope that one day you may be with one of these visits the small coastal town in Brazil. You are my guests

I know many of you may envy the fact that I am here in the summer while many of you up against low temperatures in winter violent.
But the fact is that extremes of temperature is up, or down, is also insufferable.
This image I show below, was taken in the central station, that same name that became a famous Brazilian movie. Here we use the Celsius system, and the temperature shown here is equivalent to 116.6 degrees Farenheit.

Fact is that both the cruel winter of the north and the Infernal Brazilian summer are a torture for those who need work.
