Looking forward to my vacation starting after the New Year. I feel like I've been going nonstop for months now. However going to Vegas won't help matters much. Not much of a blog, but more of a question. I've been to Vegas 13 times already. I'm looking for something different to do. Any suggestions SG?? Here's to the New Year starting with a bang! Cheers!

I went and saw Dehtklok last night and it melted my face!! It was so heavy and loud that I thought my eyes were going to bleed, in a good way! The show was pretty amazing. The band was on stage but the lights were turned way down so you pretty much watched the screen with the characters on it. Let me tell you, the band was fucking amazing! The best part was the fact I got to see this amazing show for free! It's good to have good friends I suppose. I will say though that Machine Head not playing was a disappointment. Speedy recovery to the lead singer and all, but it was still a downer. And the other thing I have to say is that I just don't get peoples obsession with The Black Dahlia Murder. This is the second time I've seen them, and I gotta say, not impressed. The music is decent, but pretty standard issue. And the singer, well meh. Maybe it's just not my scene, but trust me when I say I will never pay to see that band. Anyway, another good show seen and in the books. Cheers!

Just a quick review of the concert I went to last night. Lamb of God was the headliner and the lineup was: Sylosis, Hatebreed, In Flames and LoG. Sylosis was decent and I've never really heard them before. Nothing to write home to mom about though. Hatebreed was decent. I've seen them before and I have to say they seemed a little off last night. They were still decent though. In Flames came on and melted my face off! The guitar work was stellar and they were just great! LoG of course finished and they were pretty good as well. I have to say though that I think In Flames stole the show. At least for me anyway. Highly recommend checking them out if you haven't! Overall though the bill was pretty solid and well worth the time spent. Cheers!
Been a pretty quiet weekend, which is exactly what I wanted. Call it the calm before the storm if you will. The rest of November is going to be busy as hell! Moving, several birthdays including my own, some concerts, friends from out of town visiting, and Thanksgiving. I have a feeling starting this week that it's going to be a blur.
Packing up my whole life yesterday was kind of weird. I've been in the same place now for 3yrs, which is longer than any other place in my life save for my parents place when I was a kid. When you pack up everything and really take stock of it to move, you're taking stock of your life I suppose. Where you've been and where you're going both literally and figuratively. You always seem to find things you didn't remember having and the same goes for memories that it brings up. It feels like a good chapter of my life is coming to an end and a new one is beginning. It's a strange feeling given where I'm at in my life. Not so much a starting over, but of course a change. Hopefully for the better. Not that life is bad. On the contrary, it's pretty good. Good friends and good times. I just know that there are places and people I'll never see again eventhough I'm only moving to a suburb. That is the strange part. I guess I don't know what to expect but I just know that it will change in ways I don't expect. But then again, I suppose that is what life is all about. New places and experiences. I guess I'll start to find out starting on Weds! Until then, cheers.
