well, 2 weeks in, and school is already kicking my ass. i'm to be up late tonight, trying to finish an extended edition of the jungle, which i really don't see happening. for this class alone this quarter, i have 9 american novels to read, 2 of which i should be done with. ask me how far i am.

the good news is, the class is interesting at least; it's called a literary response to technoscience. it started with a connecticut yankee in king arthur's court, and ends with neuromancer, and unfortunately has a spot of hemingway in there as well. this class complements my philosophy of science class pretty well, where we're currently discussing why intelligent design and argument from design are not sound scientific arguments, much less valid scientific arguments.

and then i have sculpture, which is really just going to be a pain in my ass, i can tell already, and painting, which will be good, if i can manage to spend enough outside time actually painting.

now, shuffle off. that's easily going to be the most coherent entry i make for weeks, i promise you. i'll be monosyllabic by the first week of december.

having met her in person, this does not surprise me at all. now if she got smashed and tried to bang my friend, the night would really be complete.

when i got back from san diego, kage looked at my eyes and asked what had happened. i looked in the mirror in her car and i had apparenly burst several blood vessels in my eye.

i think that sums up my trip pretty well.

i'm saying this because i think i need to say it out loud: it seems like there's some kind of revolutionary war going down here on the site. i don't think i should say exactly what i mean, but having met some of the girls on the site, and taking into account the ridiculous number of girls archived over the last 8 months, something is up. i very much doubt it's coincidence. i guess that's all i can safely say. my next three month span of membership is going to be interesting, i can tell already.

i think anything meaningful i have to say can be found in some of the katrina related threads. i'm sad, and really, really angry.

Wow. 3 stories submitted to the newswire in the last week, and 3 stories accepted. That's kind of cool, actually. It's an interesting feeling having even tiny things published in some kind of way. Not that huge a deal though i guess.
