I dreamt I kept you in a cage and pulled desperately on your hair;
crazed to put my skin to yours but unable to put key to lock.
The air was heavy on my lips and I could feel my bones scream
as they became the bars of your cage.

Cradling with bloody arms, a baby girl.
She felt like strawberry cream on my sweaty skin
as she hid her murderous eyes in my hair.

the one with the steeped roof that was built on a graveyard.
We were slick and ugly under bright florescent lights

I dreamt there was a coffin made of glass inside my chest
barricaded behind a brick wall that lined my ribcage.
In the boy’s locker room strong hands tore through my shirt and skin
