So...I suppose it is safe to assume that the end of the year is coming up quick. With that in mind, I would like to say a few things. First off let me thank everyone who has walked into my life and taught me something new about the world or myself. Thank you for the good times and the bad times as they both contributed so much to my life.
This year has been a tough one. I moved from texas to North Carolina in the midst of a very difficult time in my life. It was honestly the best decision I could have made and i am a lot happier than I was. I have focused on my art and writing more than ever and i believe i have grown in both aspects. My health is great and being close to family has really been a wonderful change. I miss them all dearly and it is nice to be so close.
All in all...it has been a good year and a bad year. The good and the bad don't ever change I think. there is always going to be a new year, a new chance, a new year resolution to try to stay on track with but in the midst of it all....there is LIFE. We all live it everyday n one form or another. Most of us choose to think that the New year will bring with it a "better" year for us. That somehow it will magically erase all the previous years from our memories and our hearts and that we will all just start back over. This unfortunately, isn't the case. I like to think of the new year as just another day.... Sure there are parties to attend, resolutions to make false promises too, the end of the world and a new digit added on to the end of 201? but really to me, it's just another day.
We can make changes each and everyday of our lives but some choose to wait till the new year. You don't have to wait till the end of the year to make a commitment to something new. There are a million chances for us to take hold of our lives and do something positive or take a new direction if we are willing to take the chance to do so. Why Wait! I'm not....I'm going to live this life to the fullest...
So in summary....thanks to all those who have been part of my life and given me the chance to take something away from you I can never throw away or put in a closet...the gift of teaching me something new, whether you knew it or not... about myself. Everyone that comes into our lives is a teacher of some kind whether it be known to you or not and you can always take away something from even the smallest interaction. A handshake from a stranger, a long talk with a new friend, a fight, an angry driver, the man on the corner, children, passerby's. they all have something to share and teach us about ourselves....and I thank them all. and YOU for taking the time to read my rambling!
Happy Holidays!
I leave you with a new tattoo I did today......be safe

I leave you with a new tattoo I did today......be safe

This is a new memorial tattoo I just did last night for a friend. He lost his baby brother at birth and this tattoo was designed as a tribute to him.

When our lives are going well, and sometimes even when they aren't, we may find ourselves feeling very attached to the status quo of our existence--life as we know it. It is a very human tendency to resist change as though it were possible to simply decide not to do it, or have it in our lives. But change will come and the status quo will go, sooner or later, with our consent or without it. We may find at the end of the day that we feel considerably more empowered when we find the courage to ally ourselves with the universal force of change, rather than working against it.
Of course, the answer is not to go about changing things at random, without regard to whether they are working or not. There is a time and place for stability and the preservation of what has been gained over time. In fact, the ability to stabilize and preserve what is serving us is part of what helps us to survive and thrive. The problem comes when we become more attached to preserving the status quo than to honoring the universal givens of growth and change. For example, if we allow a situation we are in to remain stagnant simply because we are comfortable, it may be time for us to summon up the courage to challenge the status quo.
This may be painful at times, or surprisingly liberating, and it will most likely be a little of both. Underneath the discomfort, we will probably find excitement and energy as we take the risk of unblocking the natural flow of energy in our lives. It is like dismantling a dam inside ourselves, because most of the work involves clearing our own inner obstacles so that the river of our life can flow unobstructed. Once we remove the obstacles, we can simply go with the flow, trusting the changes that follow

I drew this on a clients leg with a sharpie. All custom color. She wanted it to incorporate all of the colors of the rainbow. every color here is only found in the rainbow, with a star donning the rainbow inside it. I left it open in places so she can add more to it later.

an eagle and american flag tattoo with tow truck chains. Along with Isiaiah 43:2. Custom tattoo for a tow truck company owner.

A new piece I did tonight. Black and grey Wolf paw print w/green eyes. It was a memorial piece for a client whose grandfather had passed. He was cherokee indian and he had green eyes, so she thought this up and I designed and tattooed it for her on her side. hope you like it as much as I enjoyed tattooing it..

I did this new tattoo piece on a friends arm... all of the coloring is custom and i did it all free hand.. hope you enjoy it!
