Just realised that my subscription to SG runs out in a week or so
Still not sure if I'll renew it. I quite like the site, but I've barely been on it so I keep forgetting to post blogs and comments in groups. Plus I'm saving up for a new DSLR, possibly a Canon 1100D since I'm quite new to photography and don't want to spend too much money. Also my friends reliably inform me that it is the photographer, not the camera that's important
On a side note my copy of Zone of the Enders HD Collection arrived today with the demo of Metal Gear Rising: Revengence. Awesome!

Programming is a lot harder than I thought it would be. There's loads of problems where you just feel like you're not making any progress, which isn't really like any other subject. I mean, even in maths, if i sit staring at the page for long enough i'll figure it all out eventually. No such luck so far with my Python assessment though, lol :\
Saw an interesting bit on the news today. They said that a University in Israel did a Psychology/Sociology experiment where it got a whole load of people (i think about 200) to watch a speech by Obama on Middle East policies.
- Half of them where put in a room and asked to watch the speech with the caption; Barrack Obama at the bottom of the screen.
- The other half where put in a separate room and asked to watch the same speech but with the caption; Barrack Hussein Obama at the bottom of the screen.
At the end they where asked questions on the speech and it was found that the people who watched the ''Barrack Hussein Obama'' video assumed that Obama had much more Pro-Muslim views than the people who just watched the Barrack Obama video. Quite an interesting conclusion, that something as arbitrary as a name can have so much effect on peoples opinion.

It's my favorite time of year now! All the American shows have started back up so now I can fill the gaps between studying with Castle, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, New Girl and that new show Arrow
Many fun times shall be had!
Also I just finished episode 4 of the Walking Dead Game on XBLA. Tizz good!

I'm finally at Uni and have finally made the decision to switch to Computer Science instead of staying with Physics. I'll still be doing the odd Physics module for funzies but other than that I'm a Comp Geek now
The computing part of my course is just far more fun; obviously there's Computer Programming Principles which is awesome because programming is the most interesting part of Comp Sci. But then there's a class in Artificial Intelligence as well which is freakin' mind blowing as you start to realize how ridiculously complex humans are and how difficult it is to emulate even the slightest thing we do.
Other than that I haven't been up to much.

Two awesome things;
A bar near me is going to be having a Magic: The Gathering event. Awesome!
Also Professor Brian Cox is speaking at my University soon! If you don't know who he is, he's a little bit like Carl Sagan but cooler! And still alive.
Anyway, not much else to say.

Haven't been on here in a while. Mostly because I've been trying to spend less time on the PC. Been playing loads of video games. And watched practically everything that happened at the Olympics, which also got me in the mood for doing exercise more. Mainly though I've just been bored out of my mind because Uni doesn't start for another month and I still don't have a job, also I change my mind a lot so I'm not even sure if I want to do Physics, which i'm set out to do or change to Computing Studies or even just go live in a cave away from the rest of society. Personally I'd prefer all three.
