I really guess it's not my time.

I have been looking for a house for a little while now. I placed bids on 2 of them and was denied for both. Both reasons were pretty much bullshit. I tried to place a bid on another and it was already sold before it went on the market. I thought my luck had changed when I placed a bid on the most recent house. My offer was accepted last Friday (8/15/08) and I was just waiting to go on to the next step. Come to find out, the selling agent didn't have the seller sign the offer sheet, and a new bid came in. They liked this bid better and since they had only verbally agreed to mine, they accepted the new one. That is absolute bullshit. I had already begun shopping my trailer around looking for someone to buy it. I fortunately hadn't found someone really interested yet, but that's beside the point. I guess it just isn't my time to buy a house. I don't know if I am going to keep looking at this point or not. Oh well. I will figure it out in time.

So I gotta say, this was a pretty good day. I woke up knowing I had an outdoor wrestling show today, but a pretty good storm was on the way. The show was a charity show for St Jude's House For Battered Women & CHildren. We had a pretty good turnout (120 or so), and we raised over $1100 for St Jude. I was wrestling in the Main Event in a 4-way match for the Indiana State Title. There was quite a bit of cloud cover for the show, but it was still near 90 degrees outside. Fortunately, the rain didn't start until we had packed up and left. The match itself was actually pretty good. There were a few things that could have been better, but, overall, I was very pleased. I will say though, IT WAS HOT. I ended up getting a little sunburned, mostly on the face. That was a little expected as I don't tan I burn. The show itself also went really well. I would have to say that this was one of the better wrestling shows ARW has put on in a while

So, all in all, it was a pretty good day. The next show is going to be July 19th in Griffith, Indiana. If there is anyone close by, you should come and check it out. We are a family show, so little kids are welcome and encouraged to come. Even if you don't like wrestling, I GUARENTEE you will have a good time.

So I get the privilage of wrestling the "Main Event" on Saturday June 7th. I have been in several "Main Events" in the past, but this show is a little more special than most because it is a fundraiser for St Jude. If there is anyone in or near the Merrillville, IN area on that day you should really stop by and help out a great cause. The show is going to be at Universal Fitness right behind Mejer's off Route 30 in Merrillville, IN. The show is going to start at 2pm CST if anyone is interested. I am not sure how many, if any, will read this, but, hey, its worth a shot. Any help will be great.
