Man, it's been a couple months since my last post. Not much has changed, honestly. Still playing games and working on getting that house. Oh, I have a new GF. She's awesome.
I have finished a couple games since the last time I posted though. Sadly, Torchlight 2 isn't among them. I don't think I've played it since my last blog about it. In the mean time though I've beaten Gravity Rush (finally) with all of the achievements (a first) and Assassin's Creed 1. I'm splitting my time between DMC (still) and Assassin's Creed 2 (playing that with my <3). Last Story will most likely be after AC 2, to change the pace.

The Adventures of Angerbro and AdventureFerret:
Over the weekend I finally got around to playing Torchlight 2. It's pretty fun, and there are some noticeable improvements over #1. I picked up the berzerker first this time around (vs the embermage from #1 as my 1st character). In #2, I feel like they did more to make you feel awesome when you use your skills. The animations for them really stand out. I'll have to play the new embermage and compare them. Ultimately, I only played for 3 hours and made it to level 10, so I can't comment on the mid-late game experience.
Diablo 3 early game vs. Torchlight 2 early game: Some of their themes are consistent. Both games, right from the start, make you feel empowered. You get some pretty cool skills. Diablo 3 has done away with skill points, which they did well. Every level you got a "new" skill (by new, I mostly mean that they are modifications to an old skill, like adding a teleport effect to the skill, small things like that). In Torchlight 2 though, you get skill points that can be invested in new or old skills. Leveling up skills for the berzerker, I noticed that the animation has been getting bigger. Subtle, but noticeable. Normally leveling up a skill only increases it's damage, but there are also tiers of investment for each skill that give it something extra. Put in 5 points, and the skill hits more targets, stuff like that. In the end you feel like your character is more unique in TL2. In D3, every max level character can do the same thing, the only differentiator being skills chosen for their small hotbar and their equipment.
I'll comment on TL2 endgame once I get there. My username is Friosombre. Feel free to add me if you want to team up to fight evil.

Here's a bit of news. I am buying a house that's being constructed down in Queen Creek. I know what you're thinking, "Damn, that's a long drive!". However, I think it'll be worth it. It helps that I live in Gilbert, so it is a reasonable stretch. I'm sick of looking at 20+ year old houses that are gambles at best, fighting with cash buyers who are looking to flip or rent out said homes, and MLS systems being a week or more behind on updating changes to properties. Buying brand new was so simple.
So, it's only a concrete slab at the moment. It should be done in 2 or 3 months.

I'm a huge fan of what you do here. I love the pin-up-girl themes and the "alternative" beauties that grace these fine halls.

Hi! I love the work that went into the image of your business, the pin-up-girl vibe, and all of the "alternative" beauties here. Thanks for having me.
