Are you a Friend of Murrays?
zoom image

We went to Houston for the fourth and came back with Murray. She is 8 weeks old and as we found out, very sick. Sunday night, one from the littler died. Monday night a second got real sick and was rushed to the 24hr vet. They said it was Hook worms and kept him over night. He is OK now. This morning ours wasn't doing to well and I took her to the vet. They kept her and gave a blood trasfusion. She is on an IV and they will treat for HookWorms once she has her strength back. We brough back two pups and gave one to a friend. That one was treated this morning and sent home. It died a couple of hours ago. My friend in Houston is upset with himself for this. His vet and himself had talked about at thier 8 week check up all the pups would get their shots and the mom would get fixed. That was today. 2 out of 6 pups are alive.

I keep seeing $$$ flying away. But, it looks like ours will pull through.

Hell 2 the fucking yeah! I know some out there are having bad times. The economy suck ass thanks to our glorious leader "Dubah." But things have been going great for us. Here is the resent list.

1. It looks like our adoption is going to be finalizes this month.
2. Business is going good. There is an oil boom here in the Permian Basin and unemployment is next to nil.
3. We had a great vacation in South Padre Island.
4. My dad heard that my wife and I were thinking of going to Vegas for a weekend. He called me up and said he had won a trip to Vegas last year and wasn't going to use it. So for the price of taxes and a xfr fee we get the hotel rooms for 2 people 3 days/2 nights.
5. Y: The last man, Book 10 just came out and was delivered to me. (today)
6. I got my eBay win of Don Quixote De La Mancha 1941 edition.
7. My cigar humidor is almost full.
8. I had sex last night.
9. Shit, that counts as two. Be married for 13 years and you know what I'm talking about.
10. Baby boy is just a weekend away from potty trained.
11. My SG TeeShirt and my wife's BabyDoll Panty/top set came in and look great on us.
12. The paper work for our house is done and it is now ours.
13. My work truck has been signed over to me, but the company is still going to pay the insurance.
14. I just checked my Credit score and it has improved by over 100 points from two years ago.

Yes, I'm counting my blessings. My wife and I had 6 or 7 years of being anally raped by banks, mortgage companies and bill collectors. One repossessed car and a nearly foreclosed house. Loss of jobs and 29.99% on 2 credit cards almost did us in. 2.5 years in Odessa minus the loss of all cultural(pop or otherwise) has been beneficial.
One day while driving home from work a few years back, I was stressing about money and bills. I knew we were one car repair or emergency room visit away from homelessness. I heard a story on NPR's BBC world new. (I was in heavy traffic and had nothing better to do.) The story was one British reporter's recall of Rwanda 10 years before, during the start of the genocide. His description of what they were going through, what he saw, friends he lost and the guilt he felt…. Well it snapped me out of feeling sorry for myself and our American self absorbedness. I went home and explained to my wife the story. She cried like I did in the car. We counted our blessings then. We had each other, our first son, food for dinner, school for my son. Although we were working poor, we were wealthier then 80% of the worlds population. It's been a long 4 years sense that day. I will always be grateful for what I have and don't have. The world needs to step in and take care of the people of Africa as a whole. Not just Zimbabwe.

Take care.

Jummy!

Being in a small city, you have to travel to a metro or to the shore to get some good sushi. I wolfed down this plate and felt like a happily satisfied sea lion.

We all had fun and got some sun.

zoom image
look at me, all dark and dirty looking, I got burnt while out on the jet ski. With this haircut so short and getting it thinned out, the top of my head got burnt. Along with my forehead and nose. With so much above my neck peeling, I look dirty with a bad case of dandruff. Other than that it was great.

For just over a month now I've been taking a T'ai Chi class. Its pretty cool and I'm the youngest person in the class. It will be nice to practice what I know on the beach in the mornings. This will be our third year now renting the same beach house.

I'm in a spanglish mood, mood music. Some old some new. Play while reading please.

Today at lunch, my wife and I were talking about the flutters one gets when they first start liking someone. You know, the phone rings and you think to yourself, "Its her, I know it's her... please let it be her." And when it is you get this huge shit-eating grin and hope it doesn't translate into you tone and speech over the phone.
I asked, "Were you like that with me?" She said, " Of course! I couldn't help it with you." "You seemed pretty cool when I talked to you", I said. "I'm just a good actor, you really made me nervous." I told here I was the same with her and that our mutual friend that first introduced us was tiered of hearing me talk about her. Donnie, was her name and she would call me a puss and ordered me to go talk to her. For that six weeks in summer school I just admired her from afar. I had never been that way with a girl. I always had found it easy to talk to people in public, but not with her.
I had a lot of regret that I never spoke to her and once summer band started I was able to make up for it. You see in my city the two high schools alternate between each other for a joint summer school, so one summer it's at PHS and the next it's at OHS. I thought I had missed my opportunity because I just knew she was at PHS and I was at OHS. But now I was starting the year out as a junior and she was starting as a sophomore, both of us at OHS. She too was in band and we started summer band together. Now in band I wasn't exactly a leader but I was more into my element. I then learned we had many mutual friends and I couldn't help but talk to her. While joking around with friends or just talking, she always showed up. She later told me that she was attracted to me because I was popular and made her laugh a lot.
One day she just told me, "I'm tired of waiting for you to ask me for my number, so here it is." I still have that corner piece of paper she tore off of some sheet music and wrote her name and number.
While dropping her off after lunch, my wife said, "Wait you didn't act nervous." I told her I was a good actor too.

We have been together for 13 years now and I lover her more now then when I asked her to marry me.
