Not been up to much really as it's kinda the calm before the storm right now because come next week i will be super busy with the job. Apparently we are experiencing a drought right now, hard to believe when i look out of my window and towards the sky.
Also i seem to have played over 40,000 tracks according to last.fm over the past year or so, it's quite interesting to check over my charts in the months gone by to see my listening habits pass though phases were i listen to a particular band/artist or genre of music.
The F1 circus stops over in Monaco this weekend, i am thoroughly looking forward to it as for me the Monaco GP is like the FA Cup final to football fans - we need more street circuit racing really as it's simply "magic" to borrow a quote from someone who is supposed to be in bloody retirement.
Can you tell i am struggling for things to write?

I'm currenty on a train heading back to Carlisle from Newcastle listening to the new Phoenix album on the iPod (an album which i whole heatedly recommend you go buy) and a little earlier than i first imagined i would be returning home too.
Reason being is that the job i was applying for which i had to go over to Newcastle to earn in the first place is pretty much mine. I just need to put pen to paper and my nine months of occasionally emotional unemployment are finally over and i can not describe how the sense of relief feels right now just in case something goes terribly wrong before then... knowing my luck you just can't rule shit like that out.
However because the company i now pretty much work for is not yet in Carlisle i will be travelling between the city and Newcastle, Glasgow and Lancaster daily for the first couple of months. So it looks like i'm gona be busy busy busy.
More updates when i get home.

I'm busy busy busy with all this team work stuff and now i'm going to Newcastle for a few days commencing Thursday for Whitbread hopefully for some training potentially in preparation for a pretty nice job here in Carlisle. I'm not complaining about being swept off my feet with a busy schedule, it makes quite an exhilarating change from what i have been doing for the past eight months so i am revelling in having something to do although i wish it was a little more interesting sometimes.
The weekend? FA Cup final anyone? good show i thought, a disappointment no doubt for West Ham but they played well but Liverpool to my untrained eyes anyway looked the far better side. Local team Gretna where robbed (well, i would say that) at the the Scottish Cup Final that day too up at Hampden Park also on penalties. The Spanish GP was a bit of an anti-climatic show though, nothing worth talking about really which is odd considering the smashing season we've had so far - here is hoping Barcelona is just a blip on the 2006 season road map.
I can't think of anything else to really say to be honest, it's been raining today which puts an end a good week of beautiful weather we've been having (i even have a lite tan believe it or not). I am really quite bored, can you tell? is there anything interesting going on around this site? i don't know if it's just me slowly coming back but the place is seemingly devoid of any spirit. Hmm... just thinking out aloud really.
Take care everyone.

It is soooo warm here. Today has been the second day in a row we have abandoned the office and fled to a nearby bar for cold beers in the establishments garden. Currently i am going though a somewhat lengthy job interviewing process thingy among other things which involves some team building stuff so we're going to Ullswater tomorrow to build a raft and to sail (in theory anyway) a boat over this big ass lake which providing the weather remains as it is now will be pretty fun.
Only three or so weeks until the world cup! i'm not much of a football fan really but i like international tournaments, summertime sunshine, beers, friends, crowed pups with electric atmospheres and no doubt crushing defeat though penalties in the semi-finals. It's become somewhat of a ritual now hasn't it?
I don't know if this the case for the rest of the country of just in Carlisle because we're a stone throw from Scotland but how many England national flags are hanging around at the moment? just about every pub, most businesses and even the civic buildings are flying the St. George's Cross plus i noted around thirty cars driving by the Railway Station this afternoon while we had coffees in the sunshine over a period of just five minutes all flying the flag from the rear passenger windows - i bet it was just the same guy doing laps around the city centre borrowing other peoples cars.
Also...
Did anyone else catch the first episode from the new series of Top Gear last night? check out what Jeremy was driving... a Koenigsegg CCX - i'm a F1 fan and all but i'd don't really care too much for cars but this car is amazing + the Stig crashed the thing! The car is just insane, 4.7 litre V8 that knocks out around 800bhp on American petrol, 850bhp on our (currently very expensive) stuff and bizarrely over 900bhp on bio-fuel when the engine is tuned to burn it properly and has sweet fuck all down force to keep the car on the floor when it's doing over 230mph. I tell you, if i had £420,000 ($775,000) in spare change i would buy one... just to look at it though - i don't fancy dying just quite yet. Hopefully someone will post a copy of the video somewhere but if you're in the UK i believe you can watch the episode from the BBC site - just to watch Jeremy shit his pants driving the thing is worth it.

Right, time for this update thing i mentioned. I can't be bothered to go into detail so here are some pros and cons of things that have happened in the last three months in the style of Shooting Stars. Remember, ERANU is good and UVAVU is bad! Oh long gone are the days when Friday night was actually worth staying in to watch TV for...
ERANU: I finally got a job after seven god damn months.
UVAVU: The company went bust and i along with others were let go.
ERANU: My employment possibilities are looking good right now.
ERANU: I have been watching copious amounts of anime. ^_^
UVAVU: My spirit was broken and i got myself a myspace account.
ERANU: I also started my own blog which is going oddly well.
UVAVU: Zack our dog is now strong enough to knock me around.
ERANU: This years F1 championship is becoming an absolute scream.
UVAVU: So many of you keep 'private' journals. WTF YO?
+ a whole bunch of other stuff....
At the end of the day i am feeling much more relaxed about things despite everything, before i left the site and temporarily quit on other things in my life i was getting frustrated and wound up by even the smallest things. But anyway, i'm feeling much better about the world now.
Plus i was missing all the cute girls here.
Also...
ERANU: Unusually warm weather brings awesome electrical storms.
UVAVU: Too bad for this poor people, their house was struck and caught fire.
ERANU: A speed camera nearby was stuck too. Divine retribution anyone?

Well. I believe it's time to say goodbye for a while... it's not that the site is hindering my life or any bullshit like that which is normally associated with people canceling their membership but more the fact that i really don't enjoy my time on the site as much as i used to for many reasons which i am quite conscious of but it would be inappropriate to discuss here and now but i am finding that my time is now better spent else where. But rather than tarnish memories of the time spent and the people i have met though the site i'd rather leave while the sun still shines.
