Good news, I'm coming home in a few days. Its been a looooooong year in Iraq but its finally over....

Well... Today was a shitty day. Back in January I met what I thought was the most amazing woman ever. You know when u start talking to someone and everything just seems to click, well thats how it was. And for the last almost 6 months things seemed to be that way still. I'm in Iraq and we've been talking online almost every day. I even spent 2000 dollars on a trip to Vegas for the two of us. And today 10 days before I'm supposed to go home, she decides say "listen, we gotta talk" and of course I get that shitty stomach wrenching feeling. She tells me that she cant go to vegas with me. I alraedy know in my head what the next couple things she is going to say but I ask "why not" anyway. She has been seeing someone else and he as asked her to be his gf. I asked her what i could do to change her mind........no...... I dont care about the trip to vegas, just let me come see u and we can try to get through this.........no......... all I want is u......... I'm sorry Rich........ with that I tell her I hope he makes u as happy as I would have. I know its not the best thing to say and I'm not a nasty person. with that the messages stop and I finally break down. I then get my shit together cancel my plane tickets that were non refundable and getthe number to cancel the room reservation in Vegas. I do so and call my parents and tell them I'll be coming home for leave.

I hate love, I hate how vunerable it makes you.

Just a little update, I'm still in Iraq. Things are going pretty good I suppose nothing exciting. I should be going home sometime in April for R&R. I can't wait to be done here though. Once I get back I'm out of the army. I've changed my mind from being lazy to actually startign a career. I've decided to become a pilot. Only thing is its going to cost me almost $47,000. The good thing is the VA will pay for about half because i'm a veteran. So wish me luck and I hope things work out the way I plan!!

What the fuck is up? Hows everybody doing out in TV land??? Things are just peachy here in the great country of Iraq. The weather is finally starting to drop a bit which is nice, but it still sucks ballz cuz I'm here, only like 11 more months to go... fuckin sweet. But I'm done after this. I think I'm going to take the easy way out and work at the post office and bartend haha. I'm a gangsta ass mother fucker, I know.

I'm currently in Iraq its cool not too bad... cant really tell u what I'm doing but know that I'm safe and doing good things for the country haha. But once i'm done with this deployment I'm done with the army... I'm glad too, too many deployments. well I'll chat at you all later

Hello everyone...

I just moved into a house with some buddies of mine today... took like 5 hrs... such a pain in the butt. The worst part is, I havent unpacked any of my clothes or bags, just set up my bed and tv... ya know the two things you really really need. Should be fun though a lot better than an apartment. Tomorrow I need to get a wall mount for my tv and get a hair cut my hair is getting way too long for military standards and if I dont I'll probably get yelled at next week lol.

Well I haven't posted on here in a bit so I suppose I can give you a one more look into the glorious life that is Rich, SGT US Army. Almost posted my last name, I know how some of u SG girls can get a little crazy, don't want any stalkers.... or do I???

Well, work is work. I'm doing this big, Leaders coarse tomorrow, should be fun, I've done it before its a big team building thing, where they give you this next to impossible task, and you have to figure out a way to accomplish your mission. Today however has not been great, busy busy day, then I find out my tire on my car is flat, and that the only place in town that has the tires i need is closed for the day, so now i'm rolling around with a ghetto ass doughnut on my car!!!! WTF, cant pick up chics with a dirty little doughnut on my car.

Hopefully I will get it fixed tomorrow.

Well today was interesting... to say the least. I woke up at 3:29, odd time I know but thats what happens when you have a 9 minute snooze. went into work by 4:30, ate bf. went to main post, (I'm in the army for those of you who don't know). and sat from about 5:30 til 10:00 in the freezing ass cold.... it wouldnt have been as bad but the wind chill was kicking everyones ass. Oh and all of this to see the Vice President.... you think it would have been worth the wait but he was on stage for a whopping 15 mins, yeah it was ok I suppose but definatly not worth the wait. bout 5000 people waiting for one person. Meh.... thats the army though hurry up and wait.

I just want to know where have you ladies been all my life... honestly. I'm about to say fuck all the preppy goodie goodie chics. I just can't get the SG's out of my head. I hope to actually get to know some of you, I'd like to see how the personalities mesh with the look. Anyway, Hope to hear from all of you soon!!
