A Momentary Lapse Of Reason

Every time I try
Every time I start to fly
My life comes crashing down
and it seems as if ill never reach the sky.
Its not for a lack of trying either
And this anger that burns in me like a fever
With a cure in which i do not know
It seems my nights grow increasingly cold.
And I spend my days, slaving away at the world.

In which its ideals will never let ME go!
Yes I live, I eat, I sleep, I cry, but my true emotions im quick to hide.
I believe in things no others see, like an autumn wind in the golden tree.

With no signs of warmth nor the false satisfaction of growth...
I just lay here in my contemplative silence
Devoid of the love that gets pushed from my minds violence.
And in a word, if i could, describe what i want and what i feel,
This feeling i long for will never be real,
And so as i lay here spilling my mind
I cannot hide, I Cannot see..

That the only thing to pass freely thru the raging war inside my head,
Is the fact that i simply wish to be ......
