New fins on my surfboard!!!!!

Broke the little toe on my left foot yesterday. NO big adventure or story behind it. Just walked into a foot rest on the floor. I hit my toe and heard the distinctive "snap" of the bone with a shooting pain. Nothing to do but let it heal. Should take about 4-6 weeks. Going to attempt to surf this weekend. And I have to work tomorrow on it.
On a lighter note I just got a new BBQ grill!

Last night Mia and I watched "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (Don't ask how).
The Movie SUCKS!!! Save your money and watch it on a rented DVD. The movie makes no sense, cannot be tied into the X-Men Triology movies, and proceeds to shred, destroy and and utterly ass-f*ck the entire Marvel Universe and Story Lines.
Trust Hollywood to screw up what was the easiest script to write, just go tot a comic book store and follow the books. Sure they are going to want to change a few things, but this was crap. I am a huge fan of comic books and especially Wolverine comics, yet I cannot say enough of how bad it was. So if you like Wolverine and know the Marvel Unierse and story lines, hell even ifyou only have a little knowledge of it, this movie will make little sense.
BAD Acting, BAD Characters, REALLY BAD Story!!!!

I just got a call from the leadman I am suppose to work for this week. I was suppose to start tomorrow on a 3-camera tv pilot. Well the director has gotten ill, so they replaced him and now my start date is pushed to Thursday! You jsut have to laugh at all of it. THe feature I am suppose to work on keeps getting pushed. I am now suppose to start in mid to late April on that.
I have worked 8 DAYS since THANKSGIVNG! 8 days of work in almost 4 months! I am watching my bank accounts go bye bye.

The wind is gusting here today, but otherwise it is a gorgeous day. Too windy to surf or bike, so I think I will fire up the old PS2 and waste some brain cells.

I just took my truck into the dealer to have the oil changed and have them look at the steering (it was getting harder and harder to turn the wheel and steer). I was thinking it was the fluids, OH NO! It is the gear box for the steering. It is going to take a few days to replace it (they can't jsut take it out and rebuild it with a workig gear). SO the nice tax return I am getting is going to pay for the new gear box! it is going to cost me about $3500 total! HEY!!!!
Luckily I took my skateboard with me to the dealer so I could run some errands in Santa Monica (where the dealer is). I just got done skating home to Venice (a total of about 7-8 miles)!

I am all caught up on "Flight of the Conchords" and "Burn Notice" "Burn Notice is the BEST DAMN Show on TV. Brilliant!
However I am 5 episodes behind on "LOST" and "BSG" But they are all DVRed and ready to be watched.
Going to see 'Watchmen" later today. Saving judgement til I see it, but visually it looks amazing.
And ther eis still NO WORK in Hollywood! SAG is thinking/talking about striking, so no one is making anything. I didn't work this week and so far have only been able to get one day of work next week. The pilot and feature film I was/am suppose to work on are both getting pushed back and pushed back.
I think I am going to go get wet and paddle out to relax with the dirty water of the Pacific.

I am having the worst time with trying to keep fish!!! I have lost/killed almost 12 to date. Two fish dided when I returned home from Christmas. The two the replaced them died. I tested the water and it had too much amonia. I cleaned the water and the tank. Tested the water and it was good. So I put in 8 new fish. They started disappearing the day after I put them in. One disappeared, then a week later another did. Today I woke up and the last reamining fish was gone. Now of the 8 that were in there I have only found the bodies of two of them. The rest literally disappeared. I just emptied the tank and cleaned it again, no bodies. So in one last final attempt to have a decent and working tank I am going to start from scratch and do it up right. If the fish die this time I am getting a turtle.

No work this week. Hell this past month I have only worked 1 -2 days a week. And it looks like it won't improve anytime soon. Most TV shows are going down for thier hiatus and nothing is starting up. Nothing new with the SAG/Producer talks (or nontalks).

But I am getting in lots of biking, reading, surfing, workingout and TV watching.

Got my motorcycle back yesterday! If felt wierd riding it again. Like the handlebars were different and the bike was bigger. I haven't ridden in almost 2 months!
Went to the Dentisit on Tuesday and that turned into a mess. Got there at 8:15 am for an 8:30am appointment. When all was said and done I left at 12:30pm! I went in for a basic check -up and cleaning, and left $303 poorer, with 4 shots in my jaw and a new crown. WE were going to replace a filling and it turned into a crown.
Went to the docotr on Wednesday and had my yearly physical. I am alive and things are where they should be and working! Going to see a dermatologist in January about a mark on my arm and for a screening.
Hoping that SAG gets it head out of its ass and doesn't go on strike.

Mia and I leave tomorrow morning for Florida!!!!!!! Two weeks on the East Coast! Then back to the grind.

I just spent 5 hours at my tattoo shop, 4.5 hours in the tattoo chair, and just over 3.5 hours getting inked! From 11:00am til 5:00pm I was there getting the most amazing piece. I have two more settings to finish it. It will complete my right sleve and be Awesome!
John, my tattoo artist @ Tattoo Lounge, is amazing! I gave him the idea for the tattoo and he made it work beautifully. We combined two styles of art and somehow made it work. When it heals I will post pictures. My right forearm it in pain and a bit swollen at the moment.

In sadder news, all my fish died within 48 hours of each other. They all had the same look on their faces in death. I am draining the tank and doing a top to bottom cleaning of it and buying a heater for it. The New Year will start with new fish in it. And hopefully they will live longer then a few months.

But I got a VERY AWESOME tattoo today!

East bound on Pico in 2nd lane; intersection of 22nd & Pico.

I was traveling East at about 30 mph. I saw the crosswalk lights start to flash. I looked left to see if anyone was crossing, and as I turned to look forward again the mini van in front of me had come to a complete stop. I reacted by releasing the throttle and applying the brakes. I also attempted to lay the bike down. I hit the rear of the mini van with the front of my motorcycle and then I hit the mini van with my helmeted head. I was probably doing between 20-25 mph. I fell to the street where my motorcycle lay on top of my left leg. Then mini van drove away making a right turn onto 22nd street. The driver did not get out of his vehicle to check on me or do anything. He just drove away. I was able to free myself from my bike and then upright it and push it to the curb. Witnesses to the accident helped me and called the police. One witness even went and got bandages for my leg. As I sat on the curb I felt my limbs for any broken bones and found nothing. My injuries were to the inside of my right thigh and to my left leg from the knee to the ankle (see pictures). The police arrived and took my information. A mini van matching the description was stopped on Pico and the officer drove me to it to see if I could recognize it. All I remembered was that it was a Maroon mini van; I never got the license plate or a view of the driver or anything. The mini van they showed me had some dents in the rear of it, but I could not with 100% certainty say it was the one I hit. My motorcycle was towed and I got a ride home from a friend.
When I got home I cleaned my wounds. Then I called my insurance company and the towing service.
