How's this for some crazy weather. Yesterday it rained all day, today it was dusty as hell. So very windy and dusty that the sun was blocked by a wall of dust. And when I get out of class tonight, it starts snowing. Wtf? At least it made for a cool drive home.

So today I heard the best explanation for why I'm an English major. All my life I've had pieces of knowledge about several subjects, but never had an expert knowledge of any one subject. And today in class somebody mentioned that he felt that English was such a broad subject. You get psychology, sociology, gender studies, political science, and so much more through the texts. But not just theory, the stories themselves act to show the theories in practice. Looking at it that way, it's the perfect major for me.

Now it's time to pull another all nighter... I'm 94 pages into a 305 page book that I have to have read by tomorrow. Good times. Sigh...
