The Waiting Game (Home Heat Edition) : The Conclusion
"...and on this final episode of The Waiting Game, Home Heat Edition..."
this mornin' was... interesting, no question.
after a few hours, I called the office (when I knew management would be in) and talked to the manager herself... lo! and behold, she was confused as well as to why the caretaker would tell me I needed to be here for maintenance. She said she'd call me back in a moment and, when she did, to make things all the more interesting maintenance had gotten neither a call nor a workorder from the caretaker.
In other words, I accidentally got the caretaker in trouble (again, again).
*sighs* I had a package as well, so I picked it up from the office and talked to the manager for a bit and she put the workorder in and apologized.
basically, I wasted the AM. There was no need for me to wait for the maintenance coupled with the fact maintenance didn't even know about the situation
good thing, the apartment is warmer... not warm, but warm(er). BUT there is heat coming out of the registers.
and as for my package... yay! I now have the cables to connect the PC to the new TV, which I took the minute it took to do so, and now no longer have to watch things on my computer screen if I don't wish to ... this'll be nice when the girls want to watch youtube videos or there's something on netflix for them via streaming. No more crowding around the computer desk or having them forgetfully knock things off of it (or stop the video/film by accident, etc. etc.).
*shivers* warmer, yes. but I don't consider the low 60s to be warm. c'mon, heaters - now that you're working again, let's get pumpin'! daddy wants a li'l HEAT!
