It looks like I might be going to San Francisco in July for three weeks of training, with not a lot of free time. If I get the trip, I'll only have a few hours every Sunday free to go explore. I lived in Monterrey at one time so I'm not completely unfamiliar with the region.
dang, Merle was my favorite. He was the most realistic character in Walking Dead.
It looks like I'll be going to San Francisco in July for three weeks of training, figure I'll stop off in Montana on the way out and way back to play cowboy for a few days. San Francisco isn't exactly my favorite place but at least it is a change from the normal monotony at work. Is there anything in particular I should check out while I'm there besides the wharf area?
The one day snowstorm we had wiped out the electricity for over 40,000 people in Virginia. Took them four days to get my power restored--apparently they saved my county for last. I'd spend two hours a day cutting wood so I'd have enough to make it through the night, and melt snow on the wood burning stove so I could wash up and have water to feed my animals.
Amazing how much we take clean running water, heat, and electricity for granted, especially when it is still cold outside.

Colder today than a witches tit in a brass bra! Dang I hate winter. I don't know how the folks in the great white north deal with it.
ugh, new semester at school and seems I'm already behind and haven't been to the first class yet. I guess I shouldn't have decided to goof off all day Saturday and go hiking today. Oh well, the hike today was worth it, I let me dog do all the up hill work and pull me along. I need to get him his own backpack so he can carry his own water, any particular types recommended?
Morning at the range, Indian food for lunch, and off to the dog park in the afternoon followed by a nap. What a great Saturday. Wish they were all like this.
