a brief tirade against G. W. Bush:
which i deleted.... hehe, the more i wrote about that fool the more indignant and uspet i became that more people can't see through his shallow and ill-formed policies. grrrrr

man, it's been a weird week.

so, i have pre-ordered D&D online and played the beta for 10 days. the pre-order allows me ( and 10's of thousdand others ) to play the game a few days before it goes retail. in honor of this geektastic event i've taken the first week of march off so i can play. pathetic, i know, but i have 4 weeks of vacation time and i couldn't really think of anything else to do with it.
*NOW BACK TO OUR IRREGULARLY SCHEDULED UPDATE*
work has been killing me. the level of ineptitude the management exhibits is staggering.
my crazy aunt gave my brother and i some money from an insurance policy of my deceased ( 4 years ago ) grandmother that nobody knew existed until late last year. that was a pleasant surprise. it was what would have been our mothers share. i think my mothers side of the family feels sorry for us as he and i were left with nothing from our parents after they died. my mothers medical bills and my dads second wife saw to that.
ah well, history repeats itself as my father was left with nothing when his died and he actually had to buy back the family farm from the great state of michigan. so i guess i'm getting off light.
i bought a 3 dvd set of clint eastwood westerns. his more modern ones, the outlaw jose wales (ok, it's from the 70's )
and his two from the 90' pale rider and unforgiven.

hmm i think i figured out the tax racket....
back in december i took out some money to pay off my house. i waived the 10% state tax fee and just payed the 20% federal on the funds. now that i have my taxes done i see where i saved a few hundred dollars. instead of paying $400 into the state and getting less that half of that back i only have to pay in $66 to the state while i still get money back from the feds. see how it works?

well, i'll be damned.. i actually got some things done today:
1. laundry
2. tax info given to tax preparer
3. last house payment sent it
for me that's alot of accomplishment

and they just keep dropping like flies at work... a maintenance man got his fingers caught in some machinery at work today. he passed out from the pain and or shock.
i'm thinking of starting a 'dead pool" at work and take bets as to who will be next.

we had someone electrocuted last night at work. she's ok, her hand came in contact with an exposed wire while reaching under a conveyor to remove some scrap. it left a long red streak up her arm from her wrist to her elbow. concidering it was a 440 line she's lucky....
what do you want to be remembered for? personally i'd prefer not to be remembered at all. people would only get it wrong and who wants to be a distorted memory?
i must avoid the "portage triangle" the area of best buy, Qudoba mexican grill and the Cold Stone Cremery for it is where a high percentage of my money disappears.
