I agree with BrightNoise 1000%. Look at the crime rates in Britain and Australia before and after strict gun control.

Had ONE armed citizen been in that theater and shot that guy, I'm confident there would have been less deaths/injuries.

We can't place an armed police officer or security guard in every theater, school, restaurant, and public gathering place. There's just not enough and the cost would be prohibitive.

For less than $1000 you an buy a concealable pistol, holster, sturdy belt and take a class to learn about safety, tactical accuracy, and get a concealed weapons permit. If you have the courage to stand up against a criminal, and the ability to do so, you should join others who exercise our 2nd amendment rights; not just because we can, but because we feel responsible to do so!

We don't need more gun control. We need more responsibly armed citizens in everyday life willing to protect others from guys like the Colorado theater shooter.

What happened in Colorado was a real tragedy, but I hardly believe that have more "responsibly" armed citizen will make a difference. You end up with a snowball effect. Firearms should not ever be held by the public in the public. Firearms should only be held by those with the authority to use them i.e Police forces and the military. What kind of environment and society do you breed when you can freely walk into a shop and purchase a automatic machine gun of the same calibre as that of the armed forces. This is no longer about control through paper work and bureaucracy, it should be about removing access to firearms.

It's a little long but I feel he makes some good points on society and the whole reaction to the shooting!
I don't agree fully with everything said just feel he makes a few good points!

I also live in north Dakota one of the most relaxed gun law states and almost everyone I know either has guns or at least has access to guns and the number of people with concealed carry permits is huge and we have one of the smallest crime rates in the untitled states!...not saying I believe everyone should carry a gun especially since I do not but I have to disagree with this snow ball effect eeveryone claims to exsist more guns doesn't mean more crime and gun deaths just as less guns doesn't mean less crime
