Don't think I'll bother, so TTFN.
IX is no more, our drummer came back from Hiatus and decided he didn't wanna play Doom anymore. Simulatenously with that, two other members decided they'd rather focus on other projects rather than look for new members, so that was the nail in the coffin.
Might have something else in the pipeline, but nothing concrete yet.
Apart from that, nothing much to report.
I'm really glad it isn't. That whole one-piece jumpsuit thing really isn't me.
Suffice to say life has been a wild rollercoaster, a non-stop whirlwind of excitement, a wait- that's a total lie!
As I left you last, I was off to my twin sister's wedding, where I drink too much, meet a lot of folks I hadn't seen since High school and I also put on a man-skirt:

(Me and the blushing bride.)
It was weird meeting all those folks again as I enter the homeward stretch to 30 (16 days and counting). They're all married/engaged/otherwise spliced and there seems to be several buns in various ovens. I on the other hand am single, long of hair and enjoying of extremely silly music. Trying to explain how Ix sounded to them was difficult to say the least and it kinda left me wondering, not for the first time, on the ludicrousness (in a good way) of my preferred entertainments.
Speaking of Ix, we are now officially on indefinate hiatus. Our temporary drummer has decided to focus on his main band, and since our original guy will be back in a few months, we've decided to wait for him, and then write some new stuff. We probably won't be gig-ready again until late this year or early next. If at all.
Apart from that, there's really been nothing to report. I've been living a life of hermitude for a while now.
The last couple of Saturdays, Ix had gigs (one in Edinburgh, one in Glasgow) which were shockingly similar:
At both Mr Steve (guitar/keys) was too ill to attend, so we played them as four-pieces with only two guitars, like some kind of primitives! At both we also ended up playing last, which gave me ample time to get slightly too drunk to play reliably.
We have one more gig coming up, hopefully with Mr Steve back in situ:

After this, folks probably won't hear anything from us until the summer. We've got tired of playing the same four songs and have decided to write more.
In other news, I'm off to my twin sister's wedding today. I was coerced into wearing a kilt forher, and I agreed if i could wear one of the Jacobean style suits (with the open-neck shirt). My cunning plan appears to have backfired on me, since I'm built like the illicit union betwixt a clothes hanger and a toast rack, so I don't so much wear the outfit as drape it off me.
Must not get drunk and abuse extended family and sister's new in-laws!

Flyer for the Glasgow gig on the 24th. Looks like eye have had to pull out(

Ix gig in Edinburgh next Saturday, cannot fooking wait.
Also apparently our split with Naked Shit got slated in this month's Terrorizer. I get the feeling the press don't like us very much!
Haven't been round much atm, I'm afraid. I wish I had an exciting and/or compelling reason for it, but I'm afraid it was something far sadder:

I admit it, I'm an addict, but I have managed to drag myself away from my electronic hermitism enough to practise with the boys. We've got a couple of Scottish gigs in February for folks to look out for:

IX/NAKED SHIT SPLIT EP
"The cover artwork for "Split EP" depicts a darkened room, a bright window and a single branch. Like these images, the music is ambiguous. It's doom of the slowest kind, where lyrics are absent and musical themes scant. Without these conventional structures, the four songs wander aimlessly and make the listener feel as though their braincells are drowning in a mire of treacle. It's an interesting effect but it becomes tiresome after the first few minutes - never mind 74. Final song "Silver Machine" is the most interesting, as low-level animalistic screams pierce the drone. Sadly, it's a small flicker of excitement in a soporific soundscape, making this EP a good cure for insomniacs."
Gotta love the press, eh?
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years, and thanks to everyone who left messages wishing me a good one!
I'll tryand think of something semi-interesting to write soon.
