I've been buying a lot of new gear lately. I'm proud of the arsenal I'm creating. Fortunately the music compliments it.

I have a friend in a band that I love (him and the band). He and they work REALLY fucking hard, and that's why the play a ton of shows and have a record coming out, so I've been sort've measuring myself by this: we need to work as hard as them, and I have to like my music more than I like theirs.


We aren't working as hard.

I do like us better though. Thankfully.

Time for my completely arbitrary update. A friend and I are currently playing all the Castlevania titles pertinant to the series, despite the fact thart the story lines for Legend, Circle of the Moon, and the 2 N64 ones were omitted, and Castlevania 4 is pretty much a remake of 1 story-wise.

This lovely venture aside, the band recently finished writing an 18 minute plus song, I'm thankfully dropping out of school, and I'm going to a lot of shows coming up. I also may be falling for ANOTHER girl from New York. Fortunately, this one isn't caustic.

I'm mainly updating for the sake of updating. No offense to the SG, but I don't exactly do this for the network as much as the actual content, not to sound like a scum bag or anything.
Why am I trying to defend myself to fellow SG members?

My band just got back from Canada yesterday after a sleepless 45 hour trip. We had reord reps from Capitol and TVT tell us we're good enough to be instrumental despite not necessarily wanting to.

Saw Nine Inch Nails Monday and last night. I'll be seeing them tonight as well, and it'll be worth every penny.

When you go and see unbelievable bands like Cave In, Converge, Isis, and unbelievable bands like that at really small places and begin to think "Fuck big venues" etc., I see a band like Nine Inch Nails and am reminded a.) Why they play at a place that large, and b.) it's worth going to those places.

I may post set lists later, although I'm a tired sack and I'm going to bed now.

I bought the new Nine Inch Nails today. An official copy. I won't hear music that MIGHT be better than this until Tool puts out a new record.

Be happy. But if you're not, I am enough for the both of us.

In the month of May, I will see Mastodon live, the Mars Volta live twice, and Nine Inch Nails live at least twice.

My band's EP is done, a close "friend" is fucking my ex, I quit one of my jobs, I'm making out a lot, I downloaded a new Nine Inch Nails song (and subsequently have been listening to little else), I paid roughly $2.50 for 3 Drowningman cd's in roughly a 4 day period, Melissa Auf Der Maur got added to the Renfield Records tribute to Failure my band will be on, my room is looking a little better, I've been sick for 8 days, I didn't masturbate for 25 days (and was happy to stop), and I'm incredibly depressed for so many reasons right now.

That's a text book "update" wouldn't you say?

I'm mainly updating right now for the sake of having at least one entry. Much like my first true sexual experience, my SG virginity should be nothing short of awkward, depressing, and alienating.
