Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is doing well.
Just got reading an interesting article in the Detroit Free Press. Found out that beaver kills, who woulda thunk?
I guess the best way to handle an angry beaver is to pull out quickly and make sure you have a good exit strategy........I know, don't quit my day job.

Got to see two great shows this year, Lacuna Coil/Sevendust in February and In This Moment/Sevendust last Sunday, both shows were phenomenal. Cristina Scabbia and Maria Brink are absolutely breathtaking!
While I wouldn't say no to either, I have to give Cristina the nod because I prefer brunettes. I have a pic from each concert, sorry for the low quality, I took them quickly so I wouldn't be one of those annoying people with their cell phone in the air for the entire concert. Plus I wanted to take it all in, the nice venue, the atmosphere, and the great music.

My beloved University of Michigan Wolverines came so close to winning it all last Monday night. Hated to get that far and not finish it, disappointing, but better things are on the way. Hopefully most of the guys return and we can have another run next year. GO BLUE!!!!
Attempting a pot roast today, wish me luck!

And Linus is 5 months old now, almost 50lbs, a freakin load. He doesn't realize he's not a small pup anymore when he decides to walk on you instead of around you. Love him though. He gets along great with my other dog Zoe.
I hope everyone's weekend is going well! Talk soon!

Hello All, I hope everyone had a nice holiday season and that the new year brings all of you health, happiness, and prosperity. 2012 didn't end the way I would have liked it to, having to say goodbye to my pup Oskar. I am thankful for the time I got to spend with him and what I learned from him.
I recently tried adopting from a couple of rescues but I have to say, I wasn't happy with the way I was treated. I was denied by both shelters because I have a job and they needed someone to be home more than I am. I understand the concern for finding a good home for the pups, but I'm only 5 minutes fromm ouse and I can rearrange my schedule around a dog. I have done well with 2 dogs, raisng them from puppies and giving them a great home. All they had to do was call my vet and check my references and it was a done deal. But they told me they would look for a dog that they thought would be best for me. I don't take kindly to people telling me what they think i should have or what they think is best for me. I don't do that to anyone and the overbearing government does it already.
Anyway, I found a puppy from a dairy farmer, not Amish, so no puppy mill worries. He's an accident, like me and my other dog Zoe.
His name is Linus
So instead of me rambling on and boring everyone. Here are a few pics from the past year. I also became an uncle yet again, another niece named Grace.
I hope to blog more often this year. I hope everyone is doing well!

Rough week, just found out that one of my dogs, Oskar, has osteosarcoma in one of his hind legs. He was my first pet as an adult. He was a rescue dog from a puppy mill that went through some unspeakable things. Both of his ACL's needed to be repaired and he suffered trauma to his jaw that caused a few of his teeth to not develop and come through his gums like they should have. For the past year, he needed shots for a degenerative hip condition. After hearing the vet give me her diagnosis and a few options, I decided I wasn't going to put him through anymore suffering. I am going to make life for him as pain free and comfortable as I can until he lets me know it's time.
I did the best I could and in addition to the almost 8 years of love, affection, and giving him the best home I could, I have also learned so much from him.
I went through a lot of physical abuse as a child, and I have had many people give up on me, not giving me any kind of chance, but I overcame all of that. Broke the cycle of abuse and made something of myself. You can say I could relate to what he went through. I swore that I would never ever put anyone through the Hell I went through and if I ever had children or pets, that they would get my best and would have a good home.
I'm not ready to let my boy go. I'm going time spend as much time with him as I can because I will miss him more than I can ever put into words when he's gone. I know when it's my turn that he will be waiting for me.

Hello All,
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I'm laying here with two large pups on either side of me, enjoying a drink to cap off my buzz, then heading to bed.
Long day with a trip to my hometown to see my nephew Tre's basketball game (12 points, 8 assists in a win). He will play tomorrow for the championship in the 8th grade league. Also got to see my niece's (Katie) band and chorus recital. She played the clarinet in the first part, then sang in the chorus for the finale. I'm proud of them both!
Came back home, then met up with a few friends for dinner, then back here for a relaxing night with a drink or three.
Check out Phecda's latest offering. Like her other sets, it is hard to find the right words to do her justice.
Good night everyone! I hope you all have a great rest of the weekend!

Well, I'm supposed to be cleaning then heading to the gym but my incredibly large pup Oskar is laying on my leg snoring.
Don't want to wake him, so I guess I will use this lame excuse to internet window shop for guitars instead (an upgrade is needed from current one). I will have to get up once my leg starts to fall asleep, he's no lightweight.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hello Everyone! It's hard to beat a Cuervo Black and coke while watching U of Michigan hockey!
Sadly, I have to head to bed because I have to get up early to head to the gym, then back home to clean and prepare, party later tonight at my place...................You are all invited, just send me your requests on food and drink!
HAHAHAHAHA!
Goodnight all!
Goodnight all!
Hello Everyone! It's been forever since I last blogged, but I will try my best to be a more active participant.
First and foremost, and this is long overdue, I wanted to thank everyone on the site. All those who I interact with, the friendships I have made, the blogs I enjoy reading (I don't travel that much anymore, but reading everyone's blogs takes me outside the boring walls of corporate accounting and it opens up the world for me.
), the absolute, stunning, beauty of all the ladies who put so much effort into their sets to make our world a more beautiful place, not to mention the photographers with all of their hard work that bring the sets to life for us. There is also a ton of beauty on the insides of people here as well. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, but I wanted to say that all of you are a part of my heart and will never be forgotten.
I had a "visitor" last night. I was on the couch and it felt like one of my pups brushed by my feet, but when I looked up, no one was there and my pups were already on the couch. My German Shepherd Zoe growled a little as she seemed to follow someone who wasn't there. A second or two later, the lamp in the corner of the room started to shake, like someone grabbed the pole and shook it........I'm not afraid of much, but spirits just spook the helll out of me, no pun intended.
My Grandmother is a Medium and believe me, I don't, and wouldn't want to have her abilities. I just seem to get "visits" from time t o time no matter where I am or where I have lived. I'm sure there are many more interesting people in this world for them to try to contact than myself.
Speaking of haunting......This isn't the bad kind, well, sorta.......I have dreams of this girl. The dreams are so vivid. I spend time with her, do things with her or to her
, or dream that she is next to me. I can feel her touch, everything is so real.......then I wake up. It gives me that pulse racing followed by the empty feeling in my stomach. I'm glad I remember the dream(s), but the part that just drives me crazy is that the entire day is spent "seeing" her, picking her out in a crowd, getting a whiff of her perfume, seeing a car just like her's. Weird, but there's something to the excitement/daydream/empty feeling combination. It's kind of addicting, but I'm most certain that being with her would be much, much, more exciting. Oh well.
Last thing.....I got two tickets to see Daughtry in PIttsburgh through my company up'ere.
The person I was supposed to go with can't go, so I was wondering if anyone from Pittsburgh who is already going, knows someone who is looking for a ticket. I wouldn't mind hanging out downtown before the show. You don't have to be female to get the extra ticket. All I ask is that I get to know you beforehand. The show is April 4th, so just send me a PM.
Time to get some sleep. Will blog some more soon! Goodnight SG

Hello again! Things are much better, thanks to all who commented on my last couple of blogs. I appreciate that!
Now to a much happier topic, although late, Halloween! It is a holiday that I absolutely love, because there is that extra something about it that you can't put your finger on, but the mystery of it, makes it great.
What did I do?.................... My neighbor and I play guitar all the time, out back on my patio when the weather cooperates, so we decided to go with the Halloween spirit. We decked out the garage with candy corn lights and those cheapo plastic light up jack-o-lanterns from WalMart. Added some spider webs too, then we got out the guitars, amps, and rest of the stuff, dragged out the firepit to the driveway, and decided to play some spooky tunes for the trick-or-treaters.
My neighbor Jim's wife Marni, is a makeup artist, so she zombied and vampired us up as well.(As soon as Marni gets me the pics, I will post them) It was freaking cool! There were a ton of neighborhood parties, so after the curfew passed for the kids, we decided to attend a few, and won a bottle of Jack for our costumes. I gave Jim the bottle, I am more of a rum and tequila kinda guy. It was a blast.
Note to self on this........I have two huge dogs, one who is a big baby (Oskar) and any intruder would be greeted by him rolling over on the floor for a belly rub. The other, Zoe, who is a fierce protector of me, my family and friends, not so much into the belly rub thing when a Vampire and a Zombie enter her house!

Needless to say, we both made it out without being bitten, so we had to go back to Jim's house and ditch the makeup, excess skin, fake blood, fangs, and the rest of our costumes. Then I was able to get back into my house!
