Urgh! I've been ill. I've had chicken pox/varicella! At my age!
Fortunately I'm not too itchy but my headaches have been blinding. Since Friday until now I've had one big headache, only today can I actually put the lights on/watch TV or go on the computer properly!
I hate being sick.

Coldest winter in 56 years on the cards! Still, nothing on the Ukraine and Poland. Some poor buggers there at the moment
It's so cold here all of a sudden! I'm considering getting a vest and long johns!
Maybe I'm just getting old!

I took the job.
Today was my first day, I was going to work two more weeks for the company I freelanced for...but they were pretty sore, so I went for a clean break ASAP.
Anyway, I had friends over this weekend. Friday we went for a meal, went for cocktails and then I (or the rest don't remember much more past that) I woke up feeling ok but there are a few blank spots...
Saturday we went shopping and hit some great places around Milan, then headed over to an outlet in Switzerland. At night we went to an amazing contemporary Italian restaurant in Milan.
Sunday - more of the same.
Oh and did I mention we went to the Milan derby!
However, work today was great but now I'm home alone I forgot how much I missed some of my good friends. The ones you laugh at the silliest thing with. Where conversations are seamless. Where you can open your heart and they help you to hold it.

Although - I did think about those people that never feel this and only experience the loneliness. That then leads me to have songs like these fluttering around my head all night.

I know, I know. I am full of empty promises!
I did really want to update photos of my house every day. I will get back on that. But...things have gone crazy here.
Basically I was offered a job (I didn't apply for) and ended up just going to visit the place to see if I liked it, they did an impromptu interview (even though the application closing date isn't for another few weeks) and then offered me the job.
After going there and seeing what's what I was thrilled! It's an amazing opportunity for me, especially considering I've only been in the country three months and I am already in a job...
Which led me to going to speak to my current boss, her offering me anything I want to keep me, even the opportunity to be a director. Cat amongst the pigeons much!
However, the other place just feels 'right' - you know when you get that vibe from people and a place?
Wish me luck...

I've just build the bookcase today and hung the antique French medical cabin (that I filled with glasses and antique silver) last week. So I'm pretty proud of my DIY skills. I've learnt: I must be getting old, when I stop perving I can be productive!
