OK....sos I realize I haven't been active at all lately. It's official...I'm going underground for a while. I've had too much going on in my personal life to even think about updating. I've got 3 lists of things I need to get done hanging on my fridge, and I don't really plan on making my presence known until the lists are mostly completed. I've got projects left to finish on my house, artwork to update and complete, & music to record. Consider my ass MIA until further notice. A formal apology to everyone thats left comments for me and hasn't heard back.....I'll be back in the mix once I get some things situated that are extemely important to me.

Meanwhile, in the Batcave, you can expect to find me hard at work getting my shit together.

Alright so 2005 is dead and buried and we're into the New Year. I've got to say that I've been waiting for 2006 to come around for a while. I have to say that 2005 was one of the most stressful years I've ever had, but also one of the most unique. During the course of the year alot of big things happened for me. The biggest being that I met the coolest girl I have ever known. Despite all the things that made 2005 so stressful, it was a good year. Alot of important things happened that will allow me to finally get under way with doing what I've been striving to do for years....I've finally got my own house to record and work on music and enough space to do finish all the projects that I've started. Good thing, because I was starting to feel like a fucking zombie as I didn't have a convenient space to play my drums or time to really focus on my music. So hopefully now that I've got all my ducks in a row I can shoot em' down one by one and finally start getting my art and music out there for people to experience instead of hiding in the middle of the midwest. But whatever...its good to know that life keeps on rolling by. All I have to say is that a year ago today, I never would have expected to see myself where I am now....and that's not a bad thing at all.

Other than trying to get shit together, my only solid plans in the near future are to make sure I get to go to some of the good shows coming up. I got to see a fair amount of good shows this past year, but hopefully we've got some even better ones this year. In Flames is playing here in Columbus next month on the 11th....and then after that I'm going to w/my girlie to see NIN again down in Cinci on the 25th. Damn I'm fucking ready! This will be the 1st time I've seen NIN twice on the same tour.....and I'm sure the show is going to be awesome.

So I know I've been seriously slacking on my updates this past year....and granted I sort of have a valid excuse, but now that I have a little less going on I'm going to finally start getting back on the ball with this shit. I'm not saying I'm gonna update everyday, but I'm gonna at least try and get my 2 cents in every week.....hopefully keep some of you kids interested in what I have to say.

All righty then.

Peace.

Alright. I made it through to 2006...what a fucking year. Suppose I'll elaborate on it when I actually feel like typing.
Until then, know that I plan on spending less time in fromt of the computer and more time doing the things that are important to me...like practicing my drums, working on artwork, haning out with my girl, and generally getting my shit together. Winter time is good for that sort of stuff. Until then.....

Geez. 4 comments. Times sure have changed in SG land for Vectrexxx....speaking of which, lots has changed around these parts in the course of a year....But, regardless, I got an update to enter in. (Oh Boy!)

So NYC was cool, but ultimately not the vacation I had hoped for. I can honestly say I never want to go back to NYC in the winter unless money or paid expenses is involved. Despite the cold, we still managed to have a good time. I'm glad my girly Ap0cAlYpSe_Me0w braved the elements with me. Without her, I fear my vacation would have been completely bland and unexciting- it just seemed like a bad week for anything really exciting going down that I would want to go to. However, we had some good times exploring the city, navigating the subway, and generally doing the tourist thing. We managed to see Aeon Flux in Times Square after a long day of walking around, went to Rockefeller Center, checked out some cool shops, and did things like go to Macy's to see Santa Clause. We accidently ran into comedian Steve Harvey as he was waiting on his limo, which was pretty cool. I have to say my favorite night was the night of my gallery opening, which was the whole point of going to the city in the 1st place. The opening went over well- we made fun of this dude's stupid fucking artwork that sucked ass and I got to talk to another artist that actually had some very cool art on the wall next to where my art was hanging. I have to say that I really didn't know what to expect with the whole reception deal, and was sort of at a loss of how to act. It didn't help that I was in a foul mood most of the day leading up to the reception, either. So, promptly after arriving, I hit up the free wine on the table and tried to loosen up a bit. Thank god for booze. The reception only lasted a couple of hours, which we spent trying to avoid my mom's constant need for photo ops. When all was said in done, there had been a fair amount of people that had attended. (Hopefully all the money that has left my bank account for this fucking deal will actually pay off). After the show, we retired to the hotel and decided on going out to eat in Little Italy at this place called Da Gennaro's, which turned out to be one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. I have to say, it was a very romantic dinner....a night that was so satisfying that I decided if I was to die that evening, that it would have been with no regrets.
On our final day in New York we explored the Metropolitan Art Musuem, and accidently ran into my mom again (oh joy) and had a clusterfuck of an adventure afterwards when she tried to take us out for dinner during Saturday evening at the exact hour that everyone wanted to go eat. It was not fun.

Now that I'm back home I'm relieved to have all this shit out of the way. I don't have very many solid plans, and I'm glad. I've been overwhelmed for so long that its taken the fun out of life. I still have alot of things to get taken care of, when it all comes down to it, but no solid deadlines (which is a big relief). Also, it doesn't seem like I have 5 things going on at any different time, and its taken a big load off my mind. It will be nice once the holidays are done with as well. Hopefully I'll have a really good New Year's this year. I need to have a really good party experience this year.....it is sorely needed. For whatever reason, I've really toned down my act over the course of this year, and it just seems like something's missing. Granted, I can appreciate finally having some time to get my shit together, and hope to make the best of that this year. But I miss the good times spent with my friend's going to bars, hanging out at whoevers house getting loaded, crazy shit happening, pictures being taken, people having a good time. My old crew of best friends just isnt the same, and it all fell apart within the course of this past year. And aside from that, a whole slew of other changes have happened along the way, some good, some bad. I suppose I'll save this for my next entry...cause man I could go on and on about what an interesting year I've had. Until then, I'm going to retire to the warm confines of my bed.

Adios.

Sitting here in NYC in bed updating because I cant sleep, the suns glaring in my eyes, and the pigeons outside keep making cooing sounds like a grown man having an orgasm (yuck)....so I figured what the hell....why not update? Thanks to everybody that gave me b-day wishes. It was nice to see people remember little ol' me. smile I might even have a little bit of spare time to catch up on my comments! Yay! Anyways, things are starting to get a little less hectic for me, so you might just start seeing me back online a little bit more regularly.

Tonight's my gallery opening at The Agora Gallery in Soho, NYC. I've been waiting for this day now for months....I'm anxious to see what goes down, and a little bit nervous. I just might be hitting up the wine and champagne a little bit heavy tonight. I've spent a lot of time getting prepared for this, so I hope all goes well. I've also got my own website up (sort of) FUSIONFACE.COM
that will eventually have my portfolio online to support what I'm doing at the gallery. Please feel free to check out both links listed, as they do direct you to my work.

Other than that, I'm here until Sunday, and get to deal w/cold, bitter weather, and the possibility of a transit strike (oh fucking joy), so I have somewhat mixed feelings about how this vacation is turning out as of yet. I'm still going to try and make the best of the situation and have a good time while I'm here...hopefully I won't be broke by the time I leave. So far I got to go to Rockefeller Center and see the ice skaters and Christmas tree, and do the tourist thing in Times Square. I also plan on exploring the Lower East Side and making another trip out to CBGB's before we leave, so I'm sure we'll find plenty to do despite the bullshit with the MTA going on strike. I'll be sure to post another update before my trip is over as I'm sure that the possibility of another sleepless morning is in my future...Until then....stay warm.

OK so call me MR MIA.....Haven't had time for a decent update in way too long. However, I have my reasons. It was great seeing everyone that came out to the party and I hope that you all had a good time. All I can say is I take to Jager like Popeye to spinach. That shit really gets me going...that is until I crashed on the couch. But no bg deal...I had been going since early that morning and it was inevitable I was gonna eat it sometime. I have this bad habit of camping out next to the Jager machine and taking shot after shot. All in all, it was another great party and definitely needed. It was nice getting to break in the new house w/some good friends...and when I say break in, well, I mean it....my toilet still doesn't flush. I'll fix it eventuallly....I just hope I don't have to call a plumber....

This weekend was fun, but over and done with way too quick. I'm glad that I only have a 3 day work week, cause I need it. After all this time spent moving and trying to fix up my house, I'm ready for some chill time.....hence the 3 days spent before I even made it around to getting this update done. I plan on making it out this weekend to the Shabby Shack...so I'll be sure to see you kids for a recap of drink and debauchery. After that, however, I'm gonna lay low for awhile. My birthday is coming up on December 4th, but I don't really have any plans for it this year. After that, I'll be making final preparations for my trip to NYC and working on uploading graphix for my website. Meanwhile, To the Batcave!

latersssss.

Its party time motherfuckers! Spent all week getting my house ready for this, and damn I'm ready to get down.

Don't have too much to say except please do me a big favor and mind the floor in my living room. I just stained and finished it this past week and it is very easily scratched- I already fucked it up in a couple spots just trying to put furniture in..so...socks only please. On the flip side, my basement walls are in a shitty state of discoloration so any scribbling you wanna do is fair game....as a matter of fact, I encourage it! So if you want to be drunk and careless, there's plenty of space in my basement to do so.

Other than that....I'm counting on plenty of drunken good times. biggrin

And here's the rules again, for yer viewing pleasure:

1. I'm getting new carpet, so please leave yer shoes at the door.
2. Anyone deemed to be an asshole will be promptly asked to leave, or promptly escorted out. It's my house, I decide who gets to stay and who gets to leave.
3. Please respect my property- I don't come to your house and fuck things up....that is, unless you want me to.
4. I have one toilet, so if you have to get sick, puke outside. It washes away easier, and nobody's trying to piss over a drunk, passed out person.
5. DO NOT lean on my porch rails outside. The porch on the right hand side of my house, is, shall we say, unstable. As a matter of fact, stay off my porch all together, unless you take thrill in knowing your every step could be a shortcut through to the ground below.
6. Sorry kids, but NO SMOKING in my house. Outside please. I have asthma, and I just painted the walls as well.
7. You are welcome to pass out in whatever sleeping space you can find, with 2 exceptions, MY room & the bathroom.

I'm looking forward to seeing you peeps again. I haven't had time to do much of anything except work and then fix up my house, so it will be a nice change of pace to kick it with my friends. See you all tonight!

Been busting my ass getting things fixed up on my house. I should have all my stuff moved by next weekend. Until then I'm busy painting, staining and finishing my floors, having carpet installed, patching holes in my walls, tearing down wallpaper, refurbishing my cabinets, moving appliances, etc, etc....Gearing up to get the fuck outta' my apartment.

We're having a party on the 19th to celebrate my girly Ap0cAlYpSe_Me0w 's birthday (which is actually the 15th). We've decided to call it the Off-Pink House Party...seeing as how my house is a dirty pink color. wink
For all that are coming to the party, please be respectful of the fact that I will have just moved in and my house is a work in progress. However, this isn't a license to fuck my place up, either.

Here's a few basic rules:

6. Sorry kids, but NO SMOKING in my house. Outside please. I have asthma, and I just painted the walls as well.
7. You are welcome to pass out in whatever sleeping space you can find, with 3 exceptions, MY room, the bathroom, and the middle bedroom- it has been reserved.

There is plenty of parking in my driveway and on the street in front of my house. My address will be posted in the events thread. Closer to the party I will also post my cell # in case anyone gets lost. Directions will also be posted here a day or so before the party.

In other news, time also grows closer for my gallery show. It's just over a month away! I've got my hotel and flights reserved. I'm fucking ready! I should have some solid links to post for the show in a couple of weeks.

Until then.....it's back to work!

Damn....FINALLY get a chance to update....holy shit I've been too fuckin busy....

This past weekend in Pittsburgh was great! I had a blast at the Helloween party....and have to say I got more than a little tipsy...but it was all good. It was nice seeing some of the PA peeps that I hadn't seen in awhile. I hadn't even seen Destro since the last Helloween in 2004..

I think my girly
Ap0cAlYpSe_Me0w
looked ultra-sexy in her nurses outfit, which had a pretty rough evening....getting fake blood stains on it (and not even from me!) from the prop syringe busting and part of the stethoscope coming up missing...I on the other hand was purposefully shitty looking- and had a great time looking fucking mangled....My girly did alot of the make-up...I mostly got stupid with the fake blood. biggrin I really enjoy fucking with normal looking people while I look like an escaped hospital patient...and I made sure to do this on several occasions with the people in the bar next door.

All in all, my drinking activities contributed to a loss of memory and a stellar hangover the day after...However good eats were to be had at Callahan's that afternoon....food that my broken stomach sorely needed. It was nice seeing the football game, too.

In other news....I bought a fucking house!
biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

Coincidently enough...its an off-pink color. Now we've got another pink house to party at....cept' this one is the Off-Pink House....at least until I get it painted in a year or so. smile

The main reason I haven't updated in weeks is because of all the time I've spent moving and buying shit to fix the place up and time spent starting to refurbish the place to make it livable. I have a decent amount of work to do, but I'm gonna get the shit done.

I plan on having a party next month for Lacy's b-day. Plus, Stirfry should be coming out to celebrate his b-day as well....and before that happens, I've got to paint the walls, the cabinets, put in a new fridge, stove, and furnace, refinish the living room floor, and carpet the back rooms and hallways. That's before I move my furniture in...Yup...I've got my work cut out for me.

Thats about all the typing I've got in me today...I need to get myself some food, move some shit to my new house, and call my girly to say Hi to her while she's in Vegas....I'll try and post some more next chance I get....I never even posted how awesome NIN was in Cleveland.....

Here's some pix from the past weekend....granted me and the girly are in alot of them (posted as an album as well) but I was the one with the camera...so go figure...
