I know this is something I shouldn't be cut up about but, dammit, I just can't help it. The saying "If you do not have anything nice to say don't say it all" is rarely taken seriously. Today is was getting some tea for me and my family at McDonalds when a man who was waiting to get an ice cream called me a "queer cunt" when I struggled to carry all the bags. I would just like to add that this man was old enough to be my father...someone that young adults should be using as an example of how to be a mature adult, not an angry old fart. I am only 19, I know I haven't seen much of the world and I know that this world is full of bastards, but when someone has to take abuse because their hands a full for 2 seconds, it really does make me think how the world around me is breaking.

being old doesn't necessarily grant wisdom. It certainly shouldn't require respect either. Respect has to be earned.
Just chalk it up as another old bigot not worth your time or emotion. You're better then that
