Hey Everyone.

One of my New Year's resolutions (as I just decided) is to be more sociable on this website. For the last few months or so, I've hardly updated, hardly participated in forums et cetera.

I hope you've all been well.

I had an awesome New Year's Eve. I made the trek up to Melbourne (a whole hour's train ride) and saw a well-known Australian Black Metal band called 'Gospel of the Horns'. I was actually meant to be seeing a movie with the drummer, Marcus, tomorrow afternoon but I haven't spoken to him for a couple of days so I'm not sure what's happening with that.

In other news, a great friend of mine told me that I had become "too mentally and emotionally unstable" so she ditched me so that she can now focus just on her life, exactly what she wants to do, and the OTHER people in her life, namely her new boyfriend and other friends. So isn't that just sweet? She was my closest friend but for some reason I can't feel anything for people, so I'm okay about it. It all happened about a week ago (via a myspace message mind you) and I feel perfectly fine about it all now. Weird.

Last weekend I went to a magick/occult/Pagan/Wicca shop in Geelong and spent about $130 on books. I bought 4 books. Three of the books are to do with this man: Aleister Crowley.

I also bought the book that he wrote, supposedly having had it dictated to him on April 8th, 9th and 10th, 1904 by a spirit called 'Aiwass' (or Aiwaz) "the minister of Hoor-paar-kraat," or Horus, the god of force and fire, child of Isis and Osiris and self-appointed conquering lord of the New Aeon. Awaiss announced the 'Book of the Law' through his chosen scribe, "the prince-priest the Beast."

The other book that I purchased was titled 'Discover your Sub-personalities'. I haven't read much into it yet, but I'm sure it will be interesting. I've always felt as though there were at least 2 different sides to my personality.

Anyway, I don't want to come off sounding, as my "ex"-friend said "mentally unstable" so I'll leave it there.

I hope everyone has a good week.

Vampiress.

Your closest friend ditches you because you are mentally and emotionally unstable, and you are cool with it? That sounds pretty stable to me. whatever But, I am sorry for the loss. frown

Sounds like some horrendously interesting reading material you've got there! Paganism and Odinism have always interested me just because Norse mythology kicks ass! Never really got round to doing a whole lot of research in them though because I'm not much for the religious types being a scientist and all.
Heavy deal with the whole friend ditching you fiasco... over myspace? Crikey. everytime humans create a new form of communication, its always a worse way to tell someone bad news. And stability is only for people who seek it, who gives a fuck if some people see you that way.

Happy reading wink

Sorry to hear that you girls parted ways frown. I hope that doesn't mean that I'm no longer allowed to chat to the two of you. Mind I think that I remember this happening once before to you both but it was the other way arround, so I think that you will be friends again soonish (I hope).

I have looked into a bit of Aleister Crowley's history in the past. Man that dude went through a lot of different religious groups! For some reason some books claimed that he was "nullEVILnull", never really could understand that slant however confused . Hmmm, might have to get you to tell us about the boks as you move through them wink .
