Sorry it has been so long since my last update. Work has been killing me lately, but I finally made one million in profit this year so I can relax a bit now.
I am back on Saint Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands on business. I woke up this morning at six to a beautiful dawn over the ocean. If you already know my MobileMe gallery, you can check out the pictures there, if youy don't then message me.
I will be in the islands until Thursday night, when I fly back home to my family.
All are doing well at home, and I look forward to being much more active again here.
I hope you all have a fantastic day today, and enjoy yourslelves!
Then be sure to blog and/or message me all about it!

So, I flew into Saint Thomas in th Virgin Islands on Tuesday..
Get this, I went for work!
It has been a blast, met some fantastic locale, ate great food, played in the surf, got drunker than I have in a long time...
It's beatiful down here, it just needs more SG's here!

Wednesday night, Nine Inch Nails blazed their Lights In The Sky in Atlanta. The performance put on by Trent Reznor and the rest of the band was nothing short of spectacular. The blend of choreographed lights, lasers, video, and industrial rock was the most impressive artistic display I have ever seen. Nine Inch Nails was fantastic playing some great tracks from the new album, the most moving moments for the crowd was the resonance of his earlier music. Hits from With Teeth, Downward Spiral, and Pretty Hate Machine energized the crowd into a fist-pumping frenzy. While my wife loved their performance of Animal and Fist Fuck, my favorite of the night was Terrible Lie. The fervor that the band played the song with, coupled with the ferocious red light display, got my blood pumping harder than it has in a long time. If you get the opportunity, make the drive... spend the money... catch this tour. Trent Reznor has never been better.
After the concert, my wife and I tried Korean Barbecue for the first time. We should have known that we were in trouble when after my wife order hot tea, the waitress asked "Are you sure you want Korean Hot Tea?". It smelled so foul my wife didn't even taste it. I did, unfortunately. It seems our waitress thought we ordered Korean Pee. YUCK! The dizzying array of Kim-chi, octopus, dried anchovies, meats, and sauces that followed were better. I actually enjoyed the meal, other than my 20 minute bout of throwing up in the bathroom. When you have a lap-band, you have to chew the hell out of your food. If you don't... RALPH! I never did find Ralph, so I eventually returned to my wife and the meal. I would do it again, but my wife vowed never to eat it again. She did try the dried anchovies, with their little eyeballs and all, so I can't blame her. I wasn't brave enough to eat them!
The next day, we had lunch at Home. In case you don't watch Top Chef, Richard Blais was in the final three of the last season, and IMHO should have won the competition. This was his restaurant. The sweet tea was really great. We had fried green tomatoes and oysters on the half shell with frozen Tabasco sauce pearls, as appetizers. For our Mains, we had crab cakes and shrimp & grits. The shrimp & grits was the most perfect food I have ever put in my mouth! For desert, my wife had the red velvet cake with cream cheese ice cream. I had the sour cream pecan cake with sweet tea ice cream. Blais needs to sell this recipe to Ben & Jerry's so I can have this ice cream every friggin day! The most memorable part of the experience was actually seeing Richard Blais come out and survey the dining room. It was very cool!

Ok.
I have been a Microsoft Engineer for years, now.
I use PC's and WIndows Servers every day.
If you have the means and the opportunity, I highly recommend switching to a Mac.
I have been using a MacBook Pro for almost 8 months now, and it has changed the way I work and play.
Get a Mac, get an iPhone, get and iPod.
Apple is the best!
My wife had her iPhone for almost a year when my two year old son threw it out in the rain in my back yard.
My wife sent it to Apple and they replaced her phone under warranty in less than 4 days!

So...
It has been a while since I have blogged... It has been crazy in my house.
I finally got tired of being overweight and last month I had surgery to get my Lap-Band.
It has been 30 days, I got my first fill yesterday, and have lost sbout 20 pounds.
Work has been very busy as well, with two projects I am working on now that would bring in over 10 million if I win them both... Why don't I get paid more?
In any case, the wife is doing very well, and my two sons are healthy and happy. What more can a man ask for?
I have started to keep a photo blog on my .Mac photo gallery, so message me for the address if you are interested!
Congratz to Calliope on a healthy baby!
Very happy to hear geeksusie achieved her MCSA (WTG!)
Hope to see more of Alie_Lynn either in front of or behind the camera!
fragilesong, this blog's for you! Hope you are well!

Really glad that MRSFULKS posted her sets... you're a sexy lady!
I was hoping to catch up with SK8R_GURL while I was here, but I think we keep missing each other.
How is Tiffey not a SG yet? Has the world gone mad?
Many congrats to Tantalus on getting engaged! Hope I get invited to the wedding...
Well, I have a busy day tomorrow, so I am going to go to bed...

Wow...
It's been a busy couple of days lately. On Friday, my 5 year old son had his testing for his Karate Cubs. He did great and will be receiving his blue belt today! I am so proud of him. It sucks that I won't be there to see him receive it but more on that later.
On Saturday, my wife took my 5 year old son to art class while I stayed at home with my 22 month old son. Later that day we took my 22 month old son to my wife's parent's house while she and I took my 5 year old son to the circus. My wife had scored us amazing ringside seats and we all loved it.
On Sunday, my 5 year old son's classmate came over with his little brother and his parents for a play date. The boys had fun tearing around the house while the adults got to grill out and enjoy some of my wife's famous margaritas!
My wife had to work Monday (she's a RN) and I had a busy day in my home office. Tuesday was filled with me working, and getting ready for my early flight on Wednesday.
I left our home Wednesday morning at 0400 for a 2.5 hour drive to Atlanta where I hopped on a 757 for a 4.5 hour flight to Las Vegas. I am here attending the ISC West show to see what amazing new technology is coming out in the physical security market... There isn't any.
We went from the airport to Mandalay Bay to check into our rooms, then went to The Sands Convention Center for the show, then to The Venetian for happy hour, then back to Mandalay Bay for dinner... Am I glad that meal isn't going on my expense report! LOL!
Anyways, I am now sitting in the hotel room (a place I find myself more often that I would like), missing my family, and decided I needed to catch up with everyone.
My co-workers are a bit upset with me because I came back to my room at 2300, rather than gamble with them in the casino and join them later for their much anticipated round of the topless bars. I guess I just don't see the point in those activities anymore...
Don't get me wrong, Vegas seems nice, and I can't wait to bring my wife here and take in some shows...
But for now, it's all work.
Hope everyone is doing well!
