Happy Thanksgiving to all the beautiful people of SG land!!!

Holy shit!! These last 2 months have been so damn busy for me. At work we've been preparing for a major inspection (NPCA) that would mean more customers to contract with. So that has filled up my Saturdays. Yesterday was the first one off in these 2 months. My promotion has also had me pulling late shifts everyday. Last pay period I worked 65.75 hrs. All of this has left me with little or no time for the things I enjoy i.e. SG!! The hours should continue. We are building up our stock of products. We have a new piece of machinery coming and need to be prepared for the down time.

Yesterday my girl and I went to Old Sacramento and Downtown Plaza to look around. It was a nice relaxing day. We bought salt water taffy and did some pre-Christmas window shopping. I can't wait for the Holidays to start. October has brought the fall foliage out on my favorite trees Chinesse Pistache

The world got a little darker today. I came home to login in and read the very sad news. The passing of such a lovely, talented and beautiful human Elsie. I hope her set in MR goes to the front page very soon. It is always sad to see such a bright young star burn out too soon.

My back is killing me, so much pain
Sitting here contemplating calling in to work. It would be the first day I've called in sic since Feb. Being the new Foreman I have more responsibility. But not being able to move around much sux. I think I'll call, my back needs one more day.

On a different note. Yesterday I got a new 2nd gen Ipod Touch. WOW, this thing is amazing!! It's not my first mp3 player, but it is my first Ipod. Of course the music is great and the movies rock on the 3.5" widescreen ( funny to call tha widescreen ). Tons of cool apps and the internet ( If I can figure out how to set it up ). This thing is just RAD!!!

Home from work for a couple of hours now. A 64hr work week will kick your ass. On top of that yesterday I pulled a lower back muscle and am in extreme pain. I do however have 2 days of now

So damn tired lately! With the new promotion there was a increase in hours. I have worked 11 or 12 hours daily. On the up side my checks have been awesome

Exciting day at work today!! At the end of the day I was given a promotion to shop foreman. There'll be a 6 month probationary period to see how I do. Hopefully after that I'll get a pay raise or be switched to salary.

So after some Vetrinary rape ( the cost of services ) and a couple of days of watching Tiny stagger around and possibly suffer he was put to sleep on Sunday. Sad day that was. 7 years of loving a pet and then a feeling of loss. It's like losing a family member. R.I.P. Tiny!!!

This has not been a good week. I finished the week ( Wed. thru Fri ) working 31 hours with 3 breaks and one lunch in the 100 degree sun. As an additional bonus my cat got really sick, urinary blockage. So after working all day Fri we took him to the vet. They said he needed to have the blockage cleared and his bladder flushed. They couldn't do it because it would be a 2 day overnight stay and they weren't open on Sundays. We had to take him to emergency, which after the exam we were told they needed keep him 2 to 4 days clear the blockage and flush his bladder. The estimate including the stay and all treatment was 1900-2900 dollars. OMG, we thought we'd have to put him down!! But they gave us the choice of letting him stay a few hours. In a few hours they cleared the blockage and flushed the bladder partialy. They gave us antibiotics and painmeds for him and sent him home with hopes for the best and a 460 dollar Vet bill.
