Okay, here's our latest episode---our 2009 Halloween Special. Featuring, as always, Salome as my co-host Romy, as well as Sauda and Coralee and my girlfriend Jenny as the cutest damn Great Pumpkin you're ever likely to see (as well as a nurse who takes a prat fall, lol)

Okay, here it is, our latest episode. Had an issue with a song that was used so I had to do some editing, so this is the edited for youtube version--and not the broadcast version. But the change is negligible.

Hope you all enjoy. This one's chock full of hot chicks as Undead Johnny and Romy (the super awesome Salome, my super awesome buddy) break into the Geek Fantasy Hour HQ to get themselves some chicks! This episode also co-stars fellow Chicagoland horror hosts, The Bone Jangler and Nocturna as they enter the WOWMS universe!

And of course features new full time cast members Sauda and Coralee and guest stars Kiss_ton and CruelValentine. And most special of all, my awesome girlfriend, Jenny, in a variety of roles in her WOWMS debut!

I'm back!

And this is very short...however, I am uploading the newest episode of WOWMS to youtube as I type this and will post it tomorrow! Yay!

Let's see. Whole lot of stuff going on, just been too busy to write about it! So what better place to do so then work on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

So let's see. Last weekend my best gal Jenny and I went to see Maria Bamford at the Lakeshore. She was hilarious. Absolutely brilliant. She had a real unique stand up persona and used her entire body to her advantage. It's been awhile since I've seen--on tv or live--a performer use not just their mind and wit, but also their voice, body language and natural energy to such fine tuned effect. She's really effortless and what she does, though I bet she's wiped out after each show. But really, really funny. Jenny had seen her before and really wanted me to see her and rightfully so. She was great.

I had been at work at 9am that day, and then we had a veeerryyy long shoot for the World of the Weird Monster Show that whole day so I was pretty tired, but it was really a great end to a great day.

Then Tuesday night I took Jenny to the movies in the park downtown to see Psycho. Which was fantastic. We got down there about 1 1/2 hours early and still had to sit towards the back a bit, but it turned out to be a perfect spot to get in and out of. We parked in the underground garage right across the street and lugged over our pillows, blankets etc.

It was such a perfect night. Like high 50's/low 60's (man I wish it was like that now!) I got off work at 2 that day, so I whipped us up a little picnic. chicken salad sandwiches, salads, cole slaw, chips, desert, etc. Heck, even croutons. As I said, there's no reason we can't be civilized! And yes, I watch way too much Food Network.

But we sat out there, the gorgeous city view behind us, eating our dinner and watching people. We pretty much just snuggled the whole time, lol. We both sat up as Janet Leigh was about to get to the Bates Motel and stayed up so we could see until Norman sank her car into the swamp. Then we just laid back down under the blankets and cuddled while listening to the movie. We'd both seen it so many times, that's all we needed. But the sky was clear, the air was cool, the blanket was soft, the food good and I had my baby in my arms. And the background music was psycho! For a horror geek like me (and romantic) it was like a perfect night. I was so glad we were able to do that together. I love her so much!

We watched the 2 series of this Canadian show, Twitch City she is a huge fan of...as am I now. It was great. I think we went thru them in a couple of days. Great stuff, esp the 2nd season after the 1st season build up. I highly recommend it. I know I'll be diving in for a second go round sometime in the future. It's one of those shows that I think will just get better with repeated viewings. Then we started in on Spaced which we're a few episodes into.

I got Dexter season 1 on my Xbox Live netflix and I'm dying to show her that as well (I own S2 and S3, just not 1, but it's such a great show.) Debating on whether or not to add Showtime this fall when the 4th season starts. Speaking of which, Mad Men starts back up tonight which is cool. And Stargate Universe is just a cpl of months away. Yay!

How the hell did I spin off into that?

Anyway, last night we went and checked out a Burlesque show at the Music Box which was pretty good and today I'm at work, while Jenny waits for me at home. Can't wait to get back to her...but dreading the fact that I have to watch like 12 video tapes tonight of raw footage from a movie shoot that I have to start editing this week for a paid gig. Already got paid too, so lacking enthusiasm, lol.

Also, Jenny came in and helped out at the theatre yesterday morning which was great. She'll be here part time to fill in shifts now and again which will be great. And she looks very cute in her wilmette theatre t-shirt

All right,gotta go and lace up a movie. Thta's all for now.

Vacation has started!

We're having the best time. Found one theatre in Chicago that had Star Trek still last night and we went and geeked out like the adorable nerds we are. Then crashed and watched the Graduate. Which I had actually never seen but Jenny loves. And I know why now.

Now we're in Rockford and we've had a great day here and ...well, we're just having a blast. Love her so much, having such a great time!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Wilmette Theatre for the High Voltage Burlesque Show last Saturday night! It was a huge success (as was the last one...and the upcoming holiday one will be epic) and it was great to see everyone there.

All the girls did an amazing job--esp Salome, Sauda and Coralee! Seriously, these girls were amazing (and lucky me I get all three on the World of the Weird Monster Show for upcoming episodes!) Well, Salome and Sauda are stuck with me on the show but soon Coralee will fall into our clutches as well!

Soooooo tired. I've worked like 30 days straight with only one day off in there. Luckily starting this Sunday and for 8 blissful days I will be on vacation. And the new love in my life Jenny has the same days off which is fantastic. Due to our work our usual time together is like 10pm - 10am or less 6 days a week, so a week off is amazing.

Not too much planned. We will be taking a couple day trip to my old hometown of Rockford. Yep, real romantic! But I've been meaning to go back for like 8 years now to visit and next week is the time. Cruise around the old haunts and more importantly, just stay in a hotel and pretend we're somewhere else!

We'll also be going out to my friend Mike's drive-in in Dixon which will be cool. I can't wait to see the place

Took my car in today and it's like $1300 to fix....which sucks, but at least it'll be all ready to go. I was fearful this would be the case...had quite a bit wrong with it, but I was holding out hope it wouldn't be as bad. Oh well.

Can't do a blog without pics. Got some great ones from Salome from our last shoot, but don't have them on hand right now, so here's a cpl of "approved" lol, pics of Jenny in her new Poultrygeist shirt...which was one of her many b-day presents.





Should have a new WOWMS episode to upload next week as well. Once it's on youtube I'll get in on here. We had a little break in July, but we're back full force starting in August-December!

I've got a new girlfriend and it makes me happy
